  1. I would like to think Yellow, The Scientist, Fix You, Viva la Vida, Paradise, Charlie Brown, Us Against the World and possibly Up in Flames would be mainstays of the setlist of the next tour. Other songs I'd like to see swapped in and out are:- Don't Panic, Life is for Living, See You Soon; Green Eyes, Warning Sign; Talk, Til Kingdom Come; Life in Technicolor ii, Lovers in Japan, Death and All His Friends; Hurts Like Heaven (highly doubt it though), Every Teardrop.
  2. This was a brilliant era, so hard to choose! 1. Death Will Never Conquer 2. Life in Technicolor 3. Death and All His Friends 4. Lovers in Japan 5. Strawberry Swing Very difficult.
  3. Is Rex his father then? :laugh3:
  4. Not a news piece from coldplay.com, but can't find the relevant thread - sorry! Has anyone seen the new-look recordings section? Go to it, click on lyrics for one of them, and enjoy! I like the redesign, quite efficient :)
  5. Beautiful cover. Which section of the wall's that taken from?
  6. I don't care much for Parachutes (besides Don't Panic, Spies, Yellow, Parachutes and Life is for Living), so I'd pretty much leave that as it is. I'd swap High Speed for See You Soon though. Always puzzles me why that's not there... A Rush of Blood is, again, pretty good in terms of tracklisting. I'd swap Crests of Waves in and A Whisper out though. Also, I'd make The Scientist the closer and just bump everything else up a place. X&Y is where I'd really change things. For starters, I'd rename it "Twisted Logic" due to it being a much better title imho, plus X&Y (the song) would be gone: 1 Talk 2 White Shadows 3 Speed of Sound 4 Swallowed in the Sea 5 Twisted Logic 6 A Message / Low 7 Fix You 8 What If 9 Gravity 10 'Til Kingdom Come Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends' tracklisting is pretty perfect in my opinion, but I would still change it up a bit. I'd retitle the album to just "Death and All His Friends" too. 1 Life in Technicolor 2 Cemeteries of London 3 Strawberry Swing 4 42 5 Lovers in Japan 6 Viva la Vida 7 Violet Hill 8 The Goldrush 9 Yes / Chinese Sleep Chant (hidden song) 10 Death and All His Friends / The Escapist (hidden song) With the exception of Lost!, though, I am very happy with this album's ordering. Mylo Xyloto is a ridiculous title, and I get the idea behind but I think I'd go for something more traditional. The order wouldn't change that much - with this album particularly it's hard to imagine the songs in a drastically different order, but I would make some changes. For example, renaming the album either, "A Hopeful Transmission" or "Major Minus". 1 Mylo Xyloto (hidden song) / Hurts Like Heaven 2 A Hopeful Transmission (hidden song) / Don't Let it Break Your Heart 3 U.F.O. 4 Princess of China 5 Moving to Mars 6 Us Against the World 7 Charlie Brown 8 Up with the Birds 9 Major Minus / Up in Flames (shortened, no drums version) 10 Every Teardrop is a Waterfall But as a special free download from the website I'd give away PoC acoustic, which would automatically assume the position of track 9 in the album in your iTunes somehow :) And that's it.
  7. Sorry if this is a stupid question, or if it's already been answered, but there are 70-odd pages in this thread! I was just wondering who the guy in the white suit with the day-glo green hat on was? He had an inflatable guitar, was near the back of the floor and people were having their pictures taken with him. I scoured twitter, but couldn't find anything. Does anyone know? I was in the seating, so I couldn't make out who he was... Great show though, loved it! One of the best I've been to, it flew past!! To hear LiJ again was great, totally worth the 32 and a half month wait :D
  8. I think HLH or DLIBYH are both highly likely - if we do actually get a fifth single. I would've loved UATW as well, but it's not going to happen now :( I would've released different singles tho. #1: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall (June 2011) #2: Princess of China (September 2011) #3: Us Against the World (January 2012) #4: Charlie Brown (May 2012) #5: Hurts Like Heaven (late July / early August 2012) PoC would've acted as the lead single. I don't like Paradise, so sorry. This is how I would've done it, and I think CB may've had more of a chance. Also, I'd ideally release each one properly, with a cover and video and announcement. I don't think UwtB can be counted as a fifth single because in the announcement of PoC, Anchorman wrote "the fourth single to be taken from Mylo Xyloto will be Princess Of China", [http://coldplay.com/newsdetail.php?id=949&page=20] and UwtB/UFO was released before PoC, obviously. They're not counting it as one, so I don't really think I should, to be honest.
  9. You know you're addicted to Coldplay when... ... you hear Dancing in the Dark on the radio and sing the words to Don Quixote. :)
  10. Been added to recordings section: http://coldplay.com/recordings.php Sorry if it's been mentioned...
  11. Mister MX replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
Haha, no problem :) Was pretty gay, to be fair.
  12. Mister MX replied to Pris's topic in Coldplay
Haha, one of them was me. Not saying which though... ;)

Which one are you talking about? Love this chat, by the way :)
  14. I went with Hurts Like Heaven because it injects such energy into the show to kick it off!
  15. Here's the seating plan for it: I'm thinking the C-Stage will be in either 5 or in 45. Around there anyway.
  16. Round 1: Life In Technicolor Round 2: Cemeteries of London Round 3: Charlie Brown Round 4: The Scientist Round 5: Lovers In Japan Round 6: Major Minus Round 7: Parachutes Round 8: Warning Sign Round 9: Strawberry Swing Round 10: Death And All His Friends Round 11: Life Is For Living Round 12: See You Soon Round 13: Til Kingdom Come ---- Parachutes: 3 AROBTTH: 2 X & Y: 1 Viva la Vida: 5 MX: 2
  17. Not sure if anyone's said, but it's been added to the Recordings section of coldplay.com: http://coldplay.com/recordings.php

Hurts Like Heaven 12. Viva la Vida 13. Up with the Birds (Interlude) A-Stage 14. Politik 15. Yellow 16. Lovers in Japan 17. God Put a Smile Upon Your Face 18. Violet Hill 19. Death and All His Friends ---- From Parachutes: 4 From A Rush of Blood to the Head:6 From X&Y: 5 From Viva la Vida: 8 From Mylo Xyloto: 6
  20. This is as close to my perfect set list as I think we'll get. Lucky Canadians! The only thing I would do would be to add Death Will Never Conquer (Will singing) and Don't Panic to the C-stage and Talk to the main bit, perhaps just after Viva? But I really hope we get some vids of DLIBYH and Warning Sign. And also you enjoy yourself tho, don't focus on getting vids if you think it'll compromise your enjoyment :)
  21. You've no doubt seen this one before, so sorry, but I came mostly to wish Guy a very happy birthday. I felt I ought to post a picture if I was going to post in this thread, really. Happy birthday, Guy! :guy: :vuvuzela: :cake:
  22. OK, this has changed a little... ;) 1. MX / Hurts Like Heaven - 10/10 2. Every Teardrop - 9.8/10 3. Charlie Brown (live) - 9.7/10 * 4. Us Against the World - 9.5/10 5. Up with the Birds - 9/10 6. Major Minus - 8.8/10 7. Princess of China - 8.5/10 8. Don't Let it Break Your Heart - 8.3/10 9. U.F.O. - 8/10 10. Paradise - 7.8/10 11. Up in Flames - 7.5/10 * the studio version just feels a bit flat and lacking effort to me, the live version is so superior (and I don't mean the videos, but the live video is much better). I give Charlie Brown (studio) 8/10. I think Paradise is the only song from this era whose studio version is better than the live version - from the ones we've heard so far, obviously.
  23. I'm sorry if this has been posted somewhere already, but I haven't read it. Coldplay.com have added Charlie Brown to their Recordings section - here. There's the artwork we know and love. The date is 3rd February, the date the video was released, just to add to the confusion of the whole matter!
  24. Hurts Like Heaven and Life in Technicolor.
  25. Hurts Like Heaven Every Teardrop is a Waterfall Charlie Brown :D
