  1. I might call it A Stolen Key or just Stolen Key or something along those lines. That's what the whole song's based around, the theft of the car, so... But Charlie Brown's better.
  2. Speed of Sound: 5 Fix You: 12 Talk: 6 White Shadows: 9
  3. Speed of Sound 4 Fix You 8 Talk 6 The Hardest Part 2 What If 1 White Shadows 10
  4. Hopefully. Amy Winehouse's unreleased tracks are being released soon too, I think. I hope this will happen!
  5. I really like that song in the video. It's really nice :D
  6. Any further lyrics? I've searched high and low, and I can't find any correct ones and I can't make Chris out on any live versions...
  7. Firstly, sorry if there's already a thread or section like this. I couldn't find one. I think there are some really underrated songs from this era, and I think they deserve discussion too :D For example, Bucket for a Crown The Dubliners The Goldrush Death Will Never Conquer Mining on the Moon The Fall of Man Bloodless Revolution First Steps The Man Who Swears Loveless Spanish Rain / Don Quixote And there are more. I personally love what I've heard of these. I really hope at some point these are released in some form, however unlikely that is. What do you think?
  8. Good: Great melodies and lyrics. The album flows well too. Bad: I can't get "Paradise" out my head, and I really don't like it. Also, the story of the album's good, it just seems like a very short story. It feels like there should be about 20 songs in order to serve the story justice, but I guess the album works well as it is.
  9. Round 1: Life In Technicolor Round 2: Hurts Like Heaven Round 3: Cemeteries Of London Round 4: Violet Hill Round 5: Viva La Vida Round 6: Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall Round 7: Princess Of China Round 8: 42 Round 9: Us Against The World Round 10: U.F.O. Round 11: Don't Let It Break Your Heart Round 12: The Escapist Round 13: Death And All His Friends 7 to Viva and 6 to MX. Viva just scrapes it, and I think this an accurate picture of how I feel about the albums.
  10. I do like the album version, it's brill, but... I think the verses need to be sped up a bit, particularly the opening couple. They just feel really slow, and seem to lack the energy from the live shows. I know it's studio, but I think speeding up the opening a bit may have helped...
  11. I voted: The Scientist Life in Technicolor Viva la Vida Death and All His Friends Up with the Birds
  12. Where's My Boy? "Catch a Cannonball"
  13. Life in Technicolor Life is for Living / Til Kingdom Come / Death and All His Friends / Up with the Birds How decisive.
  14. 1. The Goldrush 2. Crests of Waves 3. A Spell A Rebel Yell 4. Gravity 5. Death Will Never Conquer
  15. Daylight "Heaven is in Sight"
  16. Charlie Brown 5 Don't Let It Break Your Heart 5
  17. Thanks for these, they're great!
  18. I think they'd all make good videos, but personally I'd like to see HLH, DLIBYH and Up with the Birds.
  19. Now, this is guaranteed NOT to happen, but the OP did ask for my setlist :) Firstly, I'd call it The UFO Tour. A-Stage 1 Life in Technicolor ii 2 Cemeteries of London 3 Yellow 4 In My Place 5 Parachutes 6 Charlie Brown 7 Violet Hill 8 Every Teardrop is a Waterfall 9 Viva la Vida B-Stage 10 Up in Flames / Billie Jean 11 42 / God Put a Smile Upon Your Face 12 UFO [interval: 10 mins] C-Stage 13 The Goldrush 14 Death Will Never Conquer 15 The Scientist 16 Lost?! * (swappable with Til Kingdom Come) 17 Us Against the World A-Stage 18 Hurts Like Heaven 19 Don't Let it Break Your Heart 20 The Hardest Part (piano) / Postcards from Far Away 21 Princess of China 22 Lovers in Japan 23 Death and All His Friends [Encore] A-Stage 24 Clocks 25 Fix You 26 Up with the Birds That's what I'd love. There are so many great songs, and I still had to leave some out. _____________________________________________________ * Lost?! is a version I have in my head somewhere between Lost! and Lost?. Maybe like Lost? but on guitar instead of piano.
  20. Can I not love both? :dazzled: :D
  21. This. Totally. No offence to Will, but the drums kind of ruin this song for me. In a way, you can sort-of tell it was rush-written and rush-recorded, rather being more thought through like the other songs on the album :)
  22. I was thinking about this the other day, and there's usually one song in the public consciousness from each album. I agree with Yellow, Clocks, Fix You and Viva la Vida with the possible addition of The Scientist and Violet Hill. But from MX, I think Charlie Brown and Princess of China will be remembered. Most people can give you the rough tune of the songs mentioned from the past four albums, and I think in years to come, PoC and CB will join the club. Although I'd love DLIBYH to become one of those songs, I strongly doubt it ever will.
