This. It is sheer genius. Sure, the lyrics aren't all that, but they're the familiar Coldplay-style. And to me, it's the overall feeling of the song that's important rather than the individual elements of it. I'd say on a par with Vida or Death at the minute. (I always liked that title as an abbreviation cos it's like Life or Death, which is what the album says to me). But yeah, they're joint top for me. They're all a bit incomparable in a way as they're all in different veins. I used to think Viva or Death was the best album I'd ever heard, but now I'm having to think again. They're amazing pieces in my opinion.

I absolutely love this. I really really really like it. As I expected :D It's definitely up with the best songs on the album. In fact, scrap that, it is the best song. If this isn't a single, there is no justice! How can Paradise be a single and not this?!! It's just so so good!

Ellie Goulding would've been good in my opinion, but Rhianna will be fine! I'm sure the lads have made the right decision for the song which is what ultimately matters...

I thin if the EMI thing's true then it won't leak. I think they may well have done that to prevent it from leaking. And it may work. If it's true, that is.

Don't Let it Break Your Heart. But PoC's a close second.

I honestly now think this could be the best song on the album.

I agree, Red Army, but part of me also agrees with this - After reading the review where DLIBYH was described as a "sister track" to ETIAW, I'm inclined to believe it may be released as a single. Without hearing it, it's hard to say though. If I were Coldplay, I would release the singles as: ETIAW, HLH, Charlie Brown, PoC, DLIBYH (if the above is true), and then at a later stage (a la Strawberry Swing), possibly Major Minus. I think MM is a strong track, and could stand up as a single. Anyway, I don't think PoC will be the next single, but it will definitely be a single at some point (perhaps soon after new year?)

Before I do this, I just want to say that there's no songs from this MX era that I dislike. This order is almost guaranteed to change when I hear the actual album in 19 days (yay!). 1. Princess of China 2. Hurts Like Heaven 3. Charlie Brown 4. Us Against the World 5. Paradise 6. Every Teardrop 7. Major Minus 8. Up in Flames 9. Moving to Mars There's a clear divide between the first seven, and the last two. I feel these are weak, but the others are very much above average! :D

If Lost with Jay-Z was Lost+, is Princess of China without Rihanna Princess of China- ?

It reminds me a lot of X & Y. I quite like it in the second half, but the first bit doesn't do it for me. I guess it's kind of the opposite to what fooby was saying...

Rihanna-less PoC is a good shout, Razor Eye. It reminds me of LiJ (Osaka Mix), so I certainly see it as possibly, and it'd be a nice alternative to compare the two :) I like the tracklisting too, and I agree with your last point. I think if we're going to see any of these tracks, it'll be Car Kids and Golden Arrow.

I don't think there will be a hidden song, and I think the numbers don't necessarily relate to the album, they may just be dates or numbers significant to the band such as the VIVA release date, or something similar. Although I'd love to think there were a 30 minute long EP, I highly doubt it. And anyway, this wall has been around since before ETIAW was released, and they wouldn't've known the tracklisting, and therefore album length, then.

What songs could be included? Under One Roof Car Kids Tomorrow Golden Arrow Great Expectations Alien Radio / Space Symphony (although I still think these became MTM) Rex Aiko any others? I'd really love to have an EP :D If we do get one, I think out of the titles above it'd move likely be called Alien Radio, Tomorrow or Golden Arrow.

My favourite's the MX one (silver bg, coloured letters), the one iTunes is using at time of writing. I like to think this album's called MX personally. Not that I don't like 'Mylo Xyloto', but MX just seems to sound and look better to me. I'll make my final decision once I've actually heard the final thing though!! Hurry up October! :)
