Negative things about the new album
The hate that the album has attracted from "fans" -.-

When will we see the video?
3-4 more weeks? :O Are they having a laugh?

Remix album?
To be honest, no one really buys a remix album in the hope that the songs will be better than the originals. They want a different take, something fresh and to be surprised. I'm not surprised people look upon this idea unfavourably.

The Massive Attack Influence
They're one of the most revered bands of the last 15-20 years, actually.

What do you think the songs Paradise and Every teadrop's a waterfall are about?
It's sort of 1984, really.

Remix album?
Adele's on his label, that's probably why he remixed Rolling In The Deep.

Remix album?
Don't think Jamie xx would touch them with a bargepole unfortunately. Burial and Flying Lotus are both insanely brilliant.

The Scientist to be covered on X Factor UK Tonight
WHY CAN'T LEAVE OUR SACRED SONGS ALONE? http://virtuosomusicblog.blogspot.com/2011/06/100-reasons-why-x-factor-is-pile-of.html

Remix album?
Did Noel have a hand in that? I'm not sure he did. Though it is my favourite remix of all time. But there are plenty of good remixes, namely Skream's In For The Kill remix, Armand van Helden's Professional Widow remix and Justice's remix of Get On Your Boots by U2. It would be good if there were other versions and not just remixes.

Remix album?
It doesn't require anything, but for other artists to show their take on the Coldplay songs that we as fans like, is a good thing, regardless of the end product.

Remix album?
It's possible... What with Swedish House Mafia's version of ETIAW, the Fedde Le Grand version of Paradise, and connections with Jay-Z, it might be interesting. And who would we like to see remix what? For me, it would be Four Tet doing Up In Flames.

What Coldplay's new pathway provides...
Here are a list of bands/artists that have changed/evolved and have fans who prefer the earlier stuff. Radiohead, U2, Muse, Green Day, David Bowie, The Beatles, The Who, Led Zeppelin, Blur, Jay-Z, Arctic Monkeys, Gorillaz, Kings of Leon, The Killers, Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers, Air, The Verve, Take That, Massive Attack, Portishead, Tricky, Keane, Franz Ferdinand Unless you want Coldplay to do a Stone Roses - i.e. release two albums and be done with it - I suggest you get used to the fact that Coldplay are simply following what everyone else does. Stop moaning and be thankful that such a gifted band are sharing their work with you.

Does Jonny actually play the keyboard or is it miming?
That totally makes sense, I didn't think of that. It would also explain how Chris can get organ sounds out of his piano on Fix You. Thanks a lot!

Does Jonny actually play the keyboard or is it miming?
This is massively, massively disappointing.

[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDHEi2Ku13Q]Coldplay - Viva La Vida (Live at Glastonbury 2011) - YouTube[/ame] He's playing it so low down, he can't be getting those heavenly, high string parts out of it.

When will we see the video?
WHEN is the video out? Does anyone actually know?

Hurts Like Heaven Chords
He plays guitar on Hurts Like Heaven, do you mean that? I can't seem to hear any guitar from him on MX...
-
Hurts Like Heaven Chords
MX? Chris doesn't play guitar on MX...

New Video = New Single?
I don't think song titles and themes are relative. - The Scientist takes place in woodlands, not labs. - Yellow has no yellow in the video at all. - Violet Hill isn't on a hill with violets. - Strawberry Swing is nowhere near a swing. - Lovers In Japan is not in Japan. Just off the top of my head.

The Coldplay Facts
Coldplay fought the war and won. On penalties.

Is a MX EP Possible?
I can't be the only one that's thought this, but have they written instrumentals for the album or have they converted fully-fledged songs?
-
pre- MX era song setlist
Vertigo is nowhere near as popular as Still Haven't Found, Streets, With Or Without You, Sunday Bloody Sunday or Pride for me. As for dropping The Scientist... :shocked2: What you have to remember is that Coldplay are so huge and have so many favourites that they can't play Everything's Not Lost for one crowd, then drop it for Warning Sign the gig after. It's unfair to the crowds. When the MX tour comes round, things will likely change, but it won't be a different setlist every night, obviously.
