  1. Just tell them you like Coldplay, Muse and Rush, or whoever it is you listen to. I was going to ask why people would have a problem with your music tastes, but if you're being this pretentious I can see why.
  2. I'm amnesiac bulimic. I eat and then forget to throw up.

You can get weed-flavoured incense. Never seen the sense of that one myself: if you like the smell, smoke it.

The first song you ever fall in love with is a pop song. Never use the term "just" a pop song, because pop music is magical.
  5. YES I get this a lot, and I also dream a lot about being on planes and Doctor Who.
  6. I get them all the time. I mean, it's supposed to be related to image, and what you think of yourself, but I just really don't want my teeth to fall out, I guess.

    You've lost me.
  8. Has anyone ever had the dream where all your teeth fall out?

    Just meth, really.
  10. I don't think she's a good role model for anyone, and I don't think she even wants to be a role model. I read an interview where she was asked how hard it is to be Nicki Minaj and she made a big deal about how it is really difficult, actually, and people don't understand. We pick role models based on who we feel close to, someone like us, who we feel we could one day become; what Minaj is implying is that her fans can try to replicate her, but they probably won't make it, and I don't think that's a good message to send. To quote Noel Gallagher, would anyone want to be a rockstar if it looked like hard work? I won't talk about how trashy her music is, because that's simply my opinion, but some "role models" turn up on time to their gigs, and some, like Adele for example, don't care what they look like and don't let people judge them on their looks, because they try to express themselves in their music and their music only. I always think the same thing about Rihanna. Rihanna acts like she doesn't want to be a role model: she wants to be a challenging celebrity who makes music that shocks you or makes you think. Well, if you're going to do that, don't follow the pop trends of everyone else. Be different, make a stand and blend in. It's really easy not to release hit after hit after hit. But if you want to be a popstar, you have a responsibility to be a role model too. Kids look up to you.
  11. It's no big deal. Just know your limits.
  12. I'm not exactly proud of it, haha.
  13. Where did the 'Thanks' go???? Woah. Woah. Woah. Woah. Woah. Where did it go? It's one of the few things that gives me joy on a daily basis, seeing other Coldplayers thank me for my wit and wisdom.
  14. Bit of both. I just don't feel all that well when I drink most of the time. Ha, I've actually never been hungover before. --- The worst part about the story is that I remembered none of it the next day, but I had texts saying "Please don't be dead", so after ringing people up, I found out that I drank that much, then left the house, got as far as town, where someone put me in a taxi, then I went home, collapsed, and the neighbours all thought I was dead... then paramedics came apparently. Either all of that happened, or my mates were playing an elaborate game, and they left me on the sofa.

I think he's saying he's on a break from touring, given that he's been doing it for nearly two years solid.

I remember you from the MX section of the forum. I haven't been over there in a long minute. I don't know what takes them so long. They spend forever making an album and then put Up In Flames on it.
  17. I used to drink socially. Then one night, I drank a double margerita, two rum and cokes, one rum and lemonade, six shots of Jack Daniels (that had been dyed green, and that's what made them taste so rancid), half a bottle of vodka, and some wine. In twenty minutes. I don't drink anymore.

    I like culture.
  19. This is a great peruse: http://oswintheories.tumblr.com/ Enjoy.
  20. If the people who have left are anything like me, it's because there's not a lot to latch onto in terms of conversation on here anymore, just the previous discussions that people have had.
  21. The best thing about Bastille, imo, is that they're getting in the charts. They might be a bit "meh" to some people, but I don't think that should matter; they're music with human thought gone into it, like Coldplay, and that's a much better alternative to a dirge of faceless, big name-heavy pop that exists simply to exist, and make itself more money than anyone really needs. Sorry. Rant over.
