Hm, interesting. I thought Army of One would be pretty well-liked by the forum but on the AHFOD ranking thread it doesn't seem to be a favourite. I guess that's because it doesn't really go anywhere, but I love the organ and even the weird voices on the track. And XMTS is growing on me. Imo it's better than the dull studio version of Up&Up.

Oh okay. Thank god for Multimedia, even if the event is at a bad time for certain people, they can just check MM and download when they wake up. Yeah you're right, the real show happens 12:45. I'll probably be tuned in for that.

I think if we're lucky, at least one of the upcoming singles will have its own EP with remixes/and or b-sides. I'll take a wild guess and say that the Hymn For The Weekend EP will contain a radio edit and remix(es), and the Fun/and or AHFOD EPs will have 1 or 2 b-sides. Now, we don't even know if Fun or AHFOD will be singles. Just speculation.

Fun to X Marks the Spot is a good stretch, I'm listening to those songs A LOT and they're really growing on me (particularly Fun), but the first three songs on the album are my most played. Coldplay has always had a very strong first three songs on their LPs, in fact the only song I'm not that fond of inside the first three tracks of an album is 'Spies' on Parachutes. That's right, I'm saying Ink is a better third track than Spies. Hopefully I can share that without getting roasted in this thread. Although I'm guessig that Oldplayer or not, everyone else in CPing prefers Spies over Ink, lol.

Not that it really matters, but because of the radio premiere does it mean HFTW will be released on iTunes soon? It would nice to get another song from the pre-order, I want to hear it in somewhat higher quality. I think it will sound sublime.

Adele is bigger than Coldplay nowadays, so I doubt she would support them. Frank Ocean is more realistic, and would be awesome.

1. I totally agree. Bad production can really ruin a song. 2. Noel does only the second solo 3. Yes omg, when they played it live one of my favourite parts of the whole song was the "believe in love" at the end, but the way they did it LIVE. The studio version sucks big time.

Album leaked yesterday.

I wouldn't call them the best, but everyone seems to care what Pitchfork thinks, and I honestly wonder what they'll give AHFOD. Also The Needle Drop is a good reviewer most of the time. I agreed with his GS review to some extent.
