  1. I'll get the game started soon, stay tuned. :)
  2. Yes I do live in CO (and it's fine, I just won't go into specifics). Cherry Creek is definitely closer than the one in Colorado Springs so it might be worth looking there. :)
  3. Well, the nearest store to me is a bit of a drive away, especially if I'd only be going there for one t-shirt and nothing else.
  4. I wonder if there's an H&M in Denver that has one... if so, I should take a look.
  5. This game is gonna be difficult! Phil Harvey is my first vote. Phil is awesome and without him Coldplay never would have made it but he has never made any actual musical contribution so sadly he must be the first to go. I'm sorry Phil! :sad2:
  6. Aww, Viva lost by 1 vote!! Great game though, I enjoyed it a lot. :happy2: Hopefully in a few months after AHFOD drops wee can see how it fares against the competition! I enjoy these games. They're something to do besides AHFOD discussion! If anyone wants to start a new game, I suggest era elimination. You would be allowed to vote based on any criteria such as live performances, quality of albums, quality of b-sides, etc.
  7. Right now my top 5 Coldplay songs are: 1. Politik 2. Strawberry Swing 3. White Shadows 4. 42 5. A Rush of Blood to the Head
  8. That's awesome! My sociology teacher had A Sky Full of Stars playing today so you were luckier. It's rare to get to hear live versions in random places. :P
  9. Wow, someone mentions that the song is dancy and all hell wants to break loose. MX is not my favorite Coldplay album but I don't hate it and I'll be happy to even get a 7th album. Even if it sounds like MX part 2. There's so much pessimism and tension here. Relax. ;) Btw @cp3176, I'm sure they do monitor the forum. They're conscious of its existence given the fact that they've answered our questions before and Phil did an interview. Plus, I'm pretty sure that Debs Wild is an inactive member who used to post here a while back! :)
  10. ^ That's right, Coldplay are very versatile. Genres they have explored in at least one song include: Rock Art Rock Alternative Pop Brit-pop Baroque pop R&B Latin Electronic EDM Ambient Shoegaze Country Classical Anyways, I want A Head Full of Dreams to be a step into something new without forgetting the previous albums. I want something from every era plus a new twist to their sound. It's fine by me if the record is bright and upbeat like MX, even electronic, as long as the production is as good as LP1-4. Please Coldplay, no tracks like DLIBYH, where the core of the song is there but the production prevents it from reaching its full potential.
  11. Who says that an October music video release automatically means an October single release? Relax, everyone :) Based solely on their release habits in the past, they will probably drop the single at least a few weeks before the video. :)
  12. Today I saw a girl at school wearing a Mylo Xyloto shirt. I had to say something and I've never encountered such a passionate Coldplay fan in person before :) To be honest I'm used to people who claim to be big fans yet they can't name any band members other than Chris. :(
  13. A Rush of Blood To The Head I know that AROBTTH is the basis of the sound that the band is remembered by, the pinnacle of their alt. rock style, and a masterpiece of an album, but VLVODAAHF is the greatest Coldplay album. The band reaches musical heights that they never would have hit without Brian Eno and Jon Hopkins by their side. It is their most interesting album; it successfully experiments with a diverse range of sounds while exploring fresh new themes. AROBTTH was not as innovative for Coldplay's sound... VLVODAAHF saved them from eventually becoming stale.
  14. Here is the original post that I mentioned earlier. If those people on Twitter really were describing the song, then it was played when the MV was filmed...
  15. A Message I hope Fix You doesn't get out in this round. :worried:
  16. This song is an enigma... all we have heard is that someone compared it to Viva La Vida (as well as ETIAW if I recall correctly?).
  17. Good for you, I hope you have fun! :happy2: If only I had the money and no school to worry about, I'd make the pilgrimage to Dublin! Given the underlying themes of the tour, U2 in Dublin will be even more special this time. I live in Denver (which is special to them for other reasons) but I dream of one day seeing them play a sort of homecoming gig in Ireland. ;) I wonder how they've decided to cram the stage into 3arena? I understand that it needs to be reworked a bit to fit the venue...
  18. If X&Y ties with VLVODAAHF, I'm sure I Ran Away will probably (in the style of some of the other elimination games) accept one last vote from someone who never voted.
  19. If we don't get something new, we're all gonna buy a gun and start a war, because a Coldplay song is worth fighting for! :D
  20. Dan Reynolds He's a good lyricist but as a singer he's just average to me. I like his band as a whole more than him. Unless you don't want to make the list too long, you should add Paul McCartney and Eddie Vedder.
  21. @I ran away I know ETIAW's video came a few weeks after its release, so audio came first.
  22. Sometime within the next week from now, that single will drop... we have to be on our toes because it could happen at any moment now without warning :) I'm not saying unhealthily obsess over it like we did every Monday during August. :P Just be excited that we are so close. :D
