  2. Hey guys! I have been on a quest lately... to figure out how Chris Martin plays the piano so beautifully! I think this thread can be good for anyone else trying to figure out how Chris plays a specific part of a song, or a whole song, or whatever you like. I think it should be more focused on quality rather than quantity, since there are so many tutorials out there but not a lot of them show how he actually plays these songs live and in recording. ColdplayKB has a ton of good stuff if you have not already checked him out. But for the time being, I am going to post some songs I have yet to learn how to play and could not find good tutorials on youtube. So please join me on…

  4. Hi everyone!! For everyone who doesn't know, I have a Yt channel that You can Find in some of my posts. Tonight, while waiting 2020's end, I wanted to tell You that I'm going to do a "benefic live": I'm going to perform some CP songs, leavining in the desc some benefic associations websites; I just wanted to do that, and would be so grateful to see some of You there. Thanks and happy 2020's end! P.s: So sorry, but I couldn't do the live before midnight, but the live isn't definitively dead! So, there is surely gonna be a live this week!

Hey, I'm glad the album instrumentals are available, but anyone got access to the b-side instrumentals? I'm looking for the instrumentals up to 2003 or so, just the arobtth single b-sides, murder, early eps. stuff like that. That's all I care about really. The b sides from that time are so good, could easily be on either album. I'm not gonna specify songs as I have a feeling those will be the only ones given and then nothing else, so I'm leaving it open to all of the non album songs from 1996-2003.

Hi! I need your advice. I'm upgrading my mexican telecaster pickups for rock and I'm looking for a real sound like Keith Richards or something. I was looking at either the Seymore Duncan '59 pickup or else the Duncan Hot Rail Pickup for the Bridge but no idea what to get for the neck, any help/suggestions from someone experienced with the Telecaster sound would be mucho appreciated!!

Hi, So I've played guitar for around 6 years and now I'm pretty happy with my skills, But I'd loved to be able to play some Coldplay songs on piano. How hard are they compared to them on guitar? Like is Paradise the same level as playing it on guitar? I know the all the basic chords and the inversions what should I learn next? Thanks!

  12. Hi all, I thought I'd share what I've been practising playing, The Scientist, exactly how Chris Martin plays it thanks to Gabriele Passarelli (member on these forums) on the exact piano he uses for that "sound" (Kawai MP9000). Hope you like it! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ey9Uyx0nlY

  13. Hey! I decided to make a guitar cover of In My Place since it was its 18th birthday on August 5th! I thought it was fun to share it here on the forums ?? Thank you for watching the video, I really appreciate your support

  15. Hey guys, so i don't know if all of you know about this but there us a channel called[ Jo Zeeland and he is making VERY accurate guitar covers/tutorials for almost every everyday life guitar song. they have the correct tunings (even when the booklet says the wrong ones) and capo placements. Here is the video for Arabesque (theres also videos for orphans, cotw, WOTW/POTP, old friends and more): Also, i'm having a problem with the main riff. when he plays it, he does it with a pick so he can quickly move to the chords. I can play the riff with fingerpicking, but doesnt sound as neat/good as the fingerpicking one so that means i cant move to the chords as fas…

Hi guys, I started learning guitar a while ago and i've really wanted to learn life in technicolor ii but the tabs I found either didn't work well or used barre chords. The reason I can't use barre chords is because my guitar has a extra wide neck and even if i manage to do it it sounds really bad. I can't use Coldplaykb's tutorial for the same reason. I'm fine with a capo or alternate tuning. I found the first chord which has a capo on the second fret and the A and D strings are on fret 2. I can't find the next ones. So, If anyone has chords for this song with no barre chords and no bits where you put your thumb on the low E, PLEASE SEND THEM!

  18. Hello everybody. I arranged/transcribed this great Coldplay song for solo piano last year. Originally I just recorded my video performance for YouTube, but later I received multiple requests and decided to write a score for it. Here's the my rendition: If you're a pianist, or know of someone who'd be interested in playing the song, feel free to download the pdf from here: https://www.leonthomasian.com/arranger You don't have to sign up or anything.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone knew what kind of synths were used in X&Y, specifically for the start of Square One or if anyone has any samples etc. Thanks!

Discovered these piano covers yesterday and wanted to share them cause they're absolutely brilliant. So soothing. Listen to them late at night with your headphones on and get lost in your thoughts and imagination. You can also find several other Coldplay covers on his channel that are equally great.

  21. Hi all, I've learnt how to play The Scientist by following Gabriele Passarelli's video on YouTube here, however I'm having a problem whenever I go to play the second part here. As you can see, the right hand causes a "ringing" sound emitted from the little finger and thumb which is where the really nice sound that so many of us pick up comes from. When I go to play the exact same chord, I'm not getting no where near that sound (please see file attached). Fortunately I have a Kawai MP9000 and adjusting mine to match his on this video, I also do not get the same sound. It seems like the middle two fingers are drowning out the sound. Do you not hit these fingers as…
