i wish i could say "i know how you feel"...but i dont. i'm worried that someone i love more than anyone else does though

for me though, life is good. a little frustrating right now, and sometimes worrying, but i dont have much reason to complain :)

well i have really high almost like im drunk highs or good moments and than im normal and than i crash.....its pretty bad.....its like i have a hyper amanda....normal..and manically depressed amanda.....3 different zombies.

schizophrenia is multiple personalities.

bipolar is manic depression (a frustrating malice. ask hendrix).

you'll get used to the medication.

my aunt is bipolar..keep on the meds...she didnt and well..that didn't turn out so well :/

welcome to the club of chemical inbalances. :smug:

It's strange, I'd never heard of Bi-Polar til like a month ago, and then I initially thought it was some eye disease...now Amanda says she has it, and that's the 3rd person who has said it in a month. All were American too...is this known by some other term elsewhere? Because I'd never heard about it....

welcome to the club of chemical inbalances. :smug:

:embarrased: yes... we are loads of fun...

*does the secret handshake* ;)

Ooooooh, I'm sorry to hear that, Amanda... The beginning is the hardest time, you have to get used.

I knew a woman who had it too, and I've learnt that the most important is to take ALWAYS your pills. As Tom said you'll be better... :/

  ok...so this bi polarbear syndrome is it related to polar bears or snow or what?...have u come in contact with one and that's how u got it?...is it contagious?.... :/

of course is not contageous!...is a state of mind!....extrem states!...to be exact!...one day you can be sooooo happy and the day after you want to die :stunned: ...you feel sad and sick of life... :/ ...my mom said I´m bipolar everyday!...but she´s just trying to annoy me :dozey: ..... :D ...sorry to hear that Amanda!...just be strong! ;)

:/ :/ :/ ..ok, ok..I know it's not contagious...but does it hit at a particular age or what?...and how can u tell the difference between this and just plain depression..or aniety?

exactly is a matter of depression and anxiety...but I think is caused by several things like stress or stuff like that! so is weird Amanda has that...but we don´t know what happend with her mind!...each and every single person is different and the things we been through affect in some way our mind state...I do know some medication can make you wrong!...the pills sometimes are the bad stuff to recover! :/ ...that happend with my friend´s sister!...wrong medication!...so like a thought amanda you should try more natural things!...like aromatheraphy or meditation...yoga...go out of the nature...stuff like that to balance mind and soul! ;)

i am chemically imbalanced *hugs medicine* it's usually a problem the whole family has......my aunt is bipolar, my other is severly depressed, my mom has anxiety, so does my brother, and i have anxeity and depression. oi. :dozey:

hey Manders,

hope you're not pulling our collective "leg" here by saying you're bipolar

but as such, 'bipolar' is not a disease that one could 'catch' from others; it's rather a disorder of the brain. I heard of it a few months ago (last year), when I found out that one of the guys working in our office had to be let go because his mood swings were just getting to be too much for others and it was not proper for his own safety.

Bipolar Disorder sufferers are many in the U.S., and it's really a difficult state to be in, not just for the person suffering from it, but also for all their friends and family.

There was a feature on Bipolar Disorder on the American NPR (National Public Radio) and it really opened my eyes to what this is all about. It's really aweful and sad. :(
