the tv guide channel

Featured Replies

have you ever been on a channel and been contemplating whether or not to go to the TV guide channel to see what the name of the movie or whatever is your watching, and then so you go there and then like you just missed it, so you have to wait flippin' 10 minutes for it to scroll back down again?

I used to have that problem, but then the cable company decided that the only service they would be offering in our area was digital cable, which has a built-in guide thingy, instead of a channel. It's also more expensive, and the only difference is that there's more channels with crap on. :dozey:

And I'd like to live in the US and know what you guys are talking about

You aren't missing much.

We've got digital cable

It used to be great, but the company (NTL) decided to change the way it works a few months ago. So now it's really slow and shit.

But then I don't think I could go back to normal cable or terrestrial TV. It was only when we got digital that I began to wonder how I ever managed without the on-screen TV guide. And without digital I can't watch MTV2 or BBC 3. :P :D

Besides, everyone will need digital TV in ten years or so, because all analog transmitters will be turned off (in this country they will, anyway)
