janula
www.nj.com: CHERE: Of all this year's award-winners, Jagr is MVP Sunday, April 16, 2006 Where would the Rangers be this season without Jaromir Jagr? Probably where they've been in each of the past seven seasons -- out of the playoffs. The NHL's regular season comes to a close this week and Jagr deserves the Hart Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the league's Most Valuable Player. Joe Thornton mounted the best challenge, particularly in the final weeks of the season when he carried the San Jose Sharks into the playoffs, but the Hart belongs to Jagr. In addition to his impressive stats, his renewed passion for the game allowed the Rangers to believe they could turn it around this season. :)
