Bloc Party are refreshingly brilliant! Really really enjoy their music. Great bunch of lads too. Reading a prospectus for King's London and there was a bit about old students and one was Kele! Apparently he did English and his lyrics are inspired by people like Sylvia Plath. Silent Alarm one of my top albums from 2005 which was a hell of a year for bands.

Any news about new album? (to tell the truth I've no idea what's happening with Bloc Party right now - are they still on tour?)

They're recording, I think. New album is due sometime this year.

I bought a remix of Banquet the other day....freaking awesome....

I read on a website that one of Bloc Party's new songs is called "Kreuzberg" (engl. cross mountain). It's a multicultural district in Berlin where the're a lot of different problems and conflicts. I'm curious about this song.

I saw these guys play in LA. They were really good, it was a FUN show. The crowd was awesome too, although a bit ...rowdy. I got to meet the band afterwards, nice nice guys! Got pictures and everything...really sweet! :)

 

I can't wait to see them in November, although they're opening for a shit band. Yikes!
