November 20, 200619 yr What a great setlist! Thanks Andew for posting those fantastic pictures here first! I love the 8th one!:D Were the hell is Carole? I guess she didn't survive the concert:P
November 21, 200619 yr She must be a very happy Victorian. . . . . one thing I learned in Australia ( well that I can repeat here) is that there is a difference between being an Australian and a Victorian. . . anyway, enough of that . . .
November 21, 200619 yr hahaha dont worry everyone I survived!!!! LOL I had the best time!!!! I've been to a few concerts in my short life time, and that was the best by far. Sadly didnt get to go to Sundays show, so missed BAD!!!! Damn why do I have to be a poor student, but that aside I definitely made the most of the one concert I went to. Lining up was the worst ever!!!! Sun was out all day, no clouds...it was horrible. But the long day of lining up was all worth it when they let us in. I ran the whole length of telstra dome lol, which is funny to me now, and ended up 5 rows from the barrier right in front of Bono's microphone stand!!!!!!:D Its so bizarre, i, ME, was in the ellipse, I've been dreaming of that moment for so long. I cant believe I could see their faces so clearly, is still so bizarre to me, it was like I was in a dream like state. Does that ever wear off?? I'll never forget that, absolutely amazing!!!! There were so many highlights for me, I'll be sure to tell you more of them later lol Dont know what time you were there Andrew, but during soundcheck, they were rehearsing In Gods Country, I knew they werent gonna play that in Australia, but its looking good for a NZ appearance;) . I also read later on they were filming the Melbourne concerts, still not sure what for, but good to know lol.
November 21, 200619 yr a present for both of you...here you can find an excellent quality bootleg of YOUR concert' date=' so you will remember it forever :nice:[/quote'] Thankyou!!! Fantastic quality...cheers for the Bono and Eddie performance too

Funny how everytime I read a review of their concerts they all seem so similar to yours...I can really relate to your feelings and I was sure it would have been the same for you. As far as I know they were recording to add it to the iMax 3d Movie they're planning to release next year :)

November 21, 200619 yr Ok thanks for the patience. . I am posting these here BEFORE any of the U2 sites I frequent. . so feel special! Pics from the front of the stage are Saturday, from Adam's side are Sunday. I dont know what else to say. . . except thanks to all MELBOURNE. . what a cool city, what cool and generous people, so organised, venue was great, I can't say enough nice things about Melbourne....., and the rioting was a hoot . . . . . . . went looking for the U2 get together at some of the local pubs, ok, to be fair, it was at most of the local pubs. . . ended up at Hosiers (?) not many U2 fans there. . . (Chris 015, when you turn 18, I'll tell you about that place, no photos sorry, we would have got booted out. . . ) bad hang over Saturday. . . Kanye West was good on Saturday, he tried a lot harder with the crowd. . Concert highlights. . . Bono gets 3 people out of the crowd. . I Will Follow, and Mysterious Ways was cool . . . then onto Crown casino afterwards was a lot of fun. . . stumbled back to bed around 3am. . . . Sunday down to St Kildas to go to the famous Espys (?) for lunch that was great, and about 5 hours later (DOH!) rocked up to the second show!! I must say we arrived at both shows around 7pm, and I was amazed how close we got to the front both times. . . . anyway . . . Sunday highlights - should I list the whole set list? Nah, Best bit was Edge at the end saying "Thank You Sydney" and the whoe crowd goes silent. . ."I Mean thank you Sydney, Brisbane and MOST OF all Melbourne" shit what did Adelaide do not to get a mention! The Band played Bad/"40", First Time, and the most kick arse version of "Party Girl" . . . Bono's Brother and family were apparently at the show. . . as were 65000 other people I guess . . anyway. .. we went to China Town afterwards.. . . more amber liquor was consumed. . . alas. . . I flew back home in the morning What else do you want to know? Sorry for the crap spelling . . . . thanks a lot.. the pictures are awesome!!
November 22, 200619 yr thanks a lot.. the pictures are awesome!! You are most welcome! . . I may have some more soon. . . . Hey Caz. . . sorry you didn't make Sunday, I hate to say it was a better show. . . yeah they filmed both nights, because on Sunday there were camera crew at the back of the stage . . . . I think there is a huge difference between an Australian and a Victorian. . . Victorians are cooler!, Sydney is rush rush rush! . . we rocked up at 7pm, bugger all this lining up, we got to where we wanted! I am aiming for the eclipse on Friday. . Saturday will be my 5th and final show, just a special time with my lady, and the best band in the world! ROCK ON!
