November 13, 200619 yr HOLY CRAP That is a MASSIVE stadium. We don't have anything like that here in the states :stunned: And it was sold out, yeah? Holy fuck. Amazing, oh my god. I'm so tempted to go to Hawaii, you have no idea :laugh4: Some of those football stadiums in the US are pretty huge aren't they?
November 13, 200619 yr lmfao, yes. Good point. But I don't go to those places, so seeing 4 guys playing a stadium THAT big... it still blows my mind ;) wow.
November 13, 200619 yr I guess I'll have to give you some more rep points!!! Thank you Kaycee  and beckhamcrosses (I should ask you real name too, this one is too lon :P) amazing pics..considering the setlist you had in australian concerts you are really really lucky (first of all you don't have Vertigo palyed two times :laugh3: )
November 13, 200619 yr Some of those football stadiums in the US are pretty huge aren't they? Yeah, there are 4 football stadiums that seat over 100,000 people for games, and a bunch more between 80,000 to 95,000.
November 13, 200619 yr Actually I wonder why they don't play the big stadiums in the US like they've been doing in the past  and give us European some close venues, so that we can kill each other better to find a ticket  Take a look at this..Bono at Kylie's concert singing "Kids" (awesome song btw, originally sang by Robbie Williams with Kylie) :nice: part 1: part 2:

November 15, 200619 yr We have yet to here from Caz. . she must have had a VERY good time! and she doesn't want to share it with us! ah well . . We'll keep spreading the U2 love around............. haha yes Andrew I had a VERY good time!! Pearl Jam were AMAZING!!! Eddie Vedder was on fire last night, jumping of amps, showing us some of the Eddie moves we all know and love. Last time I saw PJ was back in 2003, was a good concert but I was disappointed with the crowd, too many people actually using their seats. This time was way better, the crowd was fantastic and the band seemed to feed off of it. Eddie said we were the best crowd so far, I choose to belive that lol. The thing that I love about Pearl Jam is that you NEVER know what to expect from the setlist and if you do go, dont expect to hear all their radio hits. I wont go into too much detail about show highlights, cos I'm not actually sure how many people here like Pearl Jam, I'm just going by the lack of love shown to the PJ thread lol...but sorry to say I did not have a camera....so no photos sorry!!! A real shame cos I reckon great photos would have been taken when the house lights came up for the last 2 songs. But for the girls, Eddie looked hot as always, but then again going by the official sexy fit men thread not many here like Eddie haha So this really is starting off to be the best week for me ever. Going to my 2 fav bands concerts in the same week is a fantastic experience. So now I'm currently at home, resting up for Saturday. I got cold yesterday before the concert (dont worry it didnt affect my screaming and yelling abilites;) ) and now I have lost my voice, now trying to get it back for the U2 boys lol
November 15, 200619 yr Im wondering Im wonderingI was wondering why does Chris have fly by private jet to Palm Springs, 35 minutes from Las Vegas, on a Learjet 45. The Learjet 45 has a normal cruising speed of 846 kmph. Its fuel consumption at this speed is 579 litres/hour, which means it burns 0.68 litres of kerosene per kilometre(3).The Airbus A321, a standard medium-haul commercial plane, travels at 853kmph and uses 3000 litres per hour, or 3.52 litres per kilometre(4). It seats around 189 people. Assuming that average occupancy is 70%, or 132, then every passenger is responsible for burning 0.027 litres per kilometre, or one 25th of Chris Martin’s consumption. It’s probably fair to assume that he flies at least 100,000 miles (or ten return journeys averaging 10,000 miles each) in his private jet each year. If so - and even before taking the rest of his activities into account - he would be exceeding his fair share of carbon by 250 times. If we were to take the other climate changing effects of air travel into account, we would multiply this by 2.7 times.Chris please think about all the harm you are doing to our skys and our world,Thank you Conor Ryan a cold Coldplay fanand stop driving big expensice BMW X5s These are one of the thirstiest 4×4s on the road. The US Environmental Protection Agency reveals that in cities they manage just 16 miles to the gallon.you should be driving a new hybrid car whth little or no emisions you have the money to invest in one of them.Just a thought.Peace Conor Ryan
November 15, 200619 yr Dear god...I'm really speechless this is a screenshot of the DVD from Milan and..I still can't believe it, they put our coreography in the DVD even though they had problems with a power cut during the song I loooooooooooooooveeeeeeee them, I can't believe it, I almost cried when I realised we were in the DVD :bigcry: :bigcry: ok sorry..I'm mad Carole...now it's your turn...you must recover your voice
November 16, 200619 yr haha Andrew, it has been crazy in Melbourne...we actually had snow and hail around parts of the state yesterday...more like Winter at the moment. Today wasnt as cold as yesterday, but had a look at the forecast for the weekend and looks like we're in for a good weather on the weekend, 23 degrees fine on Saturday. Fingers crossed we get it, but Melbourne weather is always unpredicatable.
November 16, 200619 yr yeah pack some warm clothes andrew, you never know... :P also guys, if ur in the city, try and stay out of the G20 zone, the city has cops everywhere because of the convention, they are afraid of violent protests...
November 17, 200619 yr Bono, Pearl Jam rock to fight poverty Friday Nov 17 19:46 AEDT U2 frontman Bono, guitarist The Edge and Pearl Jam have made a surprise appearance at Friday's Make Poverty History concert in Melbourne. They joined forces to open the concert with a rendition of Neil Young's classic, Rockin' In The Free World. It had been rumoured that Bono would make a guest appearance at the concert but organisers provided an even greater shock with the inclusion of Pearl Jam. During the concert, Bono, an anti-poverty campaigner, pleaded with the audience to help make a difference. "Politicians all have to do what you tell them to do," he told the 14,000-strong crowd at the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. "Scream it from the mountains." Organisers say the concert, on the eve of the G20 summit in Melbourne, is Australia's biggest youth-run music event and is being broadcast live on giant screens throughout Melbourne, in regional cities Geelong and Bendigo, and Brisbane. Jet, Eskimo Joe, Evermore and the John Butler Trio are among the Australian artists who will perform. Several prominent Australian activists will also speak, including Reverend Tim Costello and 2006 Young Australian of the Year Tricia Broadbridge. The world's leaders will come together this weekend for the G20 finance summit in Melbourne, addressing a range of global and domestic issues. Damn I wish I could have gone, I never get tired of seeing my 2 favourite bands join forces. Josh did you end up going?
