closer is easily one of the best albums i've listened to.

 

"the eternal" is the creepiest song i've ever heard, it's so lovely.

Been loving Joy Division lately. I'd forgotten how brilliant they were.

I don't know when I have heard Love Will Tear Us Apart for the first time... But when I did, I really got into it and I still like it very much.

 

And my best friend let me borrow her CD, Unknown Pleasures and... I must say...

 

OK, I haven't listened to it for a while, but I really thought that it was good.

 

And Interzone is just one of their greatest songs ever. :D

 

Shadowplay, oh yes, that song is creepy and... Yes, I like it very much.

Joy Division

 

A very influential band.

Without them there would be no Interpol, Editors, etc.

They've inspired countless bands including U2.

 

Anybody else like them?

Yes, they're not my favorite, but it's one of those bands that takes a long time to 'get' and once you do get it, you can really appreciate it. My favorite is "love will tear us apart".

Yeah thats a classic.

I like No Love Lost and Dead Souls the best.

Oh, hey there everyone.

 

Tonight I decided to take a walk outside and listen to some Joy Division. Whenever I just listen to them it's amazing. I put on Closer, and the first song, Atrocity Exhibition, has got the greatest opening drum riff EVER. It stopped me in my tracks briefly and I was like "oh my god"... It was like sex or something.

 

Yep. So that was my evening.

The bass to Transmission is so hypnotising at the beginning. I love it.

 

I've liked Joy Division for the past year, haven't been listening to much lately, though. :thinking:

Atmosphere is one of my favourite songs. Along with Isolation, Leaders of Men, Digital, Love Will Tear Us Apart, and She's Lost Control.

just watched that movie Control, it was pretty good. Like Joy Division alot.
