June 24, 200521 yr Is this the only track they haven't done live yet? Maybe tomorrow at Glastonbury? Here's hoping...
June 24, 200521 yr It's the track on "X&Y" which I usually skip most of the time... so they don't need to play it live... They also never played "A Whisper" live, didn't they?
June 24, 200521 yr ^as far as i know not during an actual show. in a soundcheck yes, and i think they might have had a small audience....there's a version floating around somewhere. i want to hear a live version of the hardest part!
June 24, 200521 yr They've played A Whisper live because I have it somewhere in one of my live shows collections.. don't know which though.
June 24, 200521 yr i want to hear a live version of the hardest part! So do I!!! I love this song!!! It'll be amazing to hear a live version of it!! It's unfair that they don't play it  :D
December 10, 200520 yr yes they have played "the hardest part" at a gig.....they played it at the hartford show, and ive yet to find a bootleg of it tho
December 10, 200520 yr I think the only track out of all their albums that they haven't played live yet is Twisted Logic - correct me if I'm wrong on that, but I think its the case!
December 10, 200520 yr ^thanks for that info guys^ FYI A Whisper was played: (only on September 4, 2002 Filmore and Denver soundcheck February 6, 2003) both were recorded and i was personally at the latter performance.
December 10, 200520 yr They absolutely have done The Hardest Part on tour. But only for like the first 3-5 shows. They did it in Camden, NJ when I was there...it was awesome. Except for that Chris messed up the intro and they had to start over, but it was really memorable! Dave
December 14, 200520 yr Author Hardest Part seems to one of those tracks you even love or hate (REALLY hate in the case of some of the above replies)! Each to his/her own. Someone already posted a live version of it, but it was lousy (can't remember the exact gig). Would be really interested in hearing any of the other performances, though. Cheers.
December 15, 200520 yr It's disappointing they have not nailed this song live yet as it is one of my favourite x & y tracks!
December 16, 200520 yr I love The Hardest Part - one of my f avorites on X&Y One reason is Chris's piano playing. I seem to like all songs where his playing is more evident. Yellow, What If, Fix You, X&Y, and so many more. I actually like all of the albums.
December 16, 200520 yr Author Louisa - I love Chris's piano playing too. The only live version of THP that I've come across is guitar based, unfortunately...
December 16, 200520 yr I don't think they've played Twisted Logic live before? After dropping the ball on Warning Sign in Toronto to open the tour, they replaced it with The Hardest Part in Montreal. Don't know if anyone has it recorded though
December 17, 200520 yr Oh yeah, Chris!!!! By the way, The Hardest Part on X&Y is piano based. Where is the song "Whisper", on which album. I don't think I've heard it. :wink3:
December 17, 200520 yr Where do these quotes from Chris come from, as I understand he doesn't come to these sites?
December 17, 200520 yr Oh yeah' date=' Chris!!!! By the way, The Hardest Part on X&Y is piano based. Where is the song "Whisper", on which album. December 18, 200520 yr I was there the first time they played "the hardest part" in Montreal, GREAT song live.
