I see what you mean. And although I am gay I am not quick to tell everyone. I am very guarded with it, especially in the work place. Although, I do love a good gay pride parade. That is just fun.

People don't know it about me unless I tell them because I'm very femme, I imagine it's the same with you but obviously being masculine:P, I just don't feel the need to shout about my sexuality, if someone asks me if I'm seeing anyone I will be like "yes I have a gf" and leave it there,I just don't see sexuality as something to be pround or ashamed about wether your straight or gay.

THIS. is stupid.

explain.

My friends aren't big fans of Gays & Bi's, because most of them are really religous and are being silly! :p

I am not gay/bi but I have nothing against them and think they are just like everyone else!

Coldplay is for everyone :D

This is a good thread.

How are your friends about it?, mine are all great although I do get some friendly teasing occasionally.

Exactly! I am not :smug:

I have been going to Christian schools all my life and its pushing me to become atheist :nice:

I am not atheist just yet, I am just... confused.

And where in the bible does it say Gays/Bis arent allowed?

Thats stupid...

Jesus said something like "he who lays with another man should be stoned"

I can take friendly teasing from my friends, just because I'm gay doesn't mean I lack a sense of humour:)

I have never, ever, had any of my friends or even co-workers being nasty to me or change the way they treat me. If anything it made my relationships with them better. It felt so nice not to have to hide a part of myself from them. I am not like "hey I'm gay" with everyone but I like to be as open and honest as possible. I get some friendly teasing too but it sounds like we both have had good experiences overall.

I'm Aaron by the way:)

Nice meeting you!

Sadly I had a Catholic upbringing, thankfully I realized it was all a load of nonsense quite early.

He also said a bunch of other stuff that people are huge hypocrites over.

again. explain.

As I said on the previous page.

It's not that I am all into gay pride or anything. It is more an acceptance of ourselves as gay people and being proud of who we are even though society kind of shits on us a lot. Also, heterosexuals are the majority it wouldn't make as much sense to have straight pride.

Im not religous... so I dont believe it :D

None of my friends ever treated me differently at all, they all see it as I'm exactly the same person just another girl makes me happy and not a guy.

I'm Katie :)

Cool:)

If people do treat me differently, I try and talk with them and figure out what the problem is. Most of the time it's ignorance.

true. but still i don't like anything that has to do with gay pride whatsoever.

I think gay men get a bad name with some people always thinking their really sex crazed all the time and never faithful to their bfs which just isn't true at all.
