what about it bugs you. I wouldn't have a problem with straight pride parades.

i just don't like it. idk. also, when people lobby for gay rights. don't get me wrong all power to them, but it's just not for me.

i'm erick btw:D

I think gay men get a bad name with some people always thinking their really sex crazed all the time and never faithful to their bfs which just isn't true at all.

as with every stereotype there is some truth in this. i actually know a lot of ppl like this.

I'm Aaron:)

I still don't get it though Erick. Why would you be against gay rights. Are you for denying people certain rights?

What? That's entirely different to what you were saying earlier and makes you a cunt.

No, I just don't get how absurd stereotypes like that start.

Media, ignorance. Gay men can be very sexual but then again so can straight men.

I'm not sure either and it's stupid to have stereotypes but it happens with nationality etc too, which it shouldn't but I'm not surprised it does happen.

no, not at all i just don't see the point.

what did i say earlier? i said i supported gay people. because i myself am probably gay. and no this isn't my mind trying to deny the fact that i'm gay.

edit: but you are entitled to your opinion of me.

The point is to have true equality under the law. to not be treated like we don't matter. that is what I fight for. I would like to marry my boyfriend and have the same rights that every straight person can receive.

As for you maybe being gay. I didn't realize that's what you meant earlier. Don't mind Nathan. He's a good guy.

Is this where your resentment comes from, because you're unsure of your own sexuality?.

Nathan is a good guy, although I don't always 100% agree with him he has his opinions, justifies them and sticks to them which I respect alot.

:) Thanks, you got anything planned for your ani?.

Hoping to get married in Massachusetts:) Will wait and see what happens:)

well, i personally don't feel like people treat gay people like they don't matter. i just think that the whole gay marriage thing is a bit overrated although i see where you are coming from and why that is something special to you.

and i thought at least in california that gay people had all the same right with the "legal union" people were just fighting for the title of "marriage"

aaaaaawwwwww I hope it all goes well:)

hmm, i think the way i've been saying things can easily be misinterpreted. i don't resent gay rights or any rights at all actually.

i just could careless for gay rights. i'm just content with having a bf or having a gf.

just because i could careless doesn't mean i resent or disagree with gay rights.

I'm going to be honest here - the "hypersexualized" gay men make me uncomfortable. I know they're not going to hurt me or anything but it just doesn't feel sincere to me, so I avoid hanging out with them (except one or two guys who I can stand).

Sometimes they can be genuinely fun to hang out with though, as long as they're not touching me and making lewd comments right and left.

I just wish the gay dating pool was more mature. I don't want to feel like I'm going to a taping of "I Love New York" when meeting other gay dudes. Maybe if gay people integrated better into society - get straight friends, and vica versa, etc. Then they'd kinda grow up a bit. Or I'm being a homophobic fag.

I see what you are saying but there are literally hundreds of federal rights that are denied to me. It is akin to being a second class citizen. My life isn't awful or anything but I should be entitled to the same rights that others in this country receive.

You are right on here Jay. took me a long damn time to find a man who was mature and not "hypersexualized" as you say. Give it time and I am sure you will find the one:)

If you realize that you are gay then just relax about it and be yourself, I understand what you're saying about rights, I do think they should just be equal and left now though.
