the man can basically play anything from his 5 albums and still put on an amazing show. like you take that setlist and take away the jay-z stuff and replace it with his big songs from his other albums you have an equally mind blowing show.

I'll see him in two weeks :awesome: I'll check that setlist, I'm not familiar with the rest of his albums, I just have Late Registration and MBDTF

i personally hope kanye does this "tour" pearl jam style and does 25+ songs each night and changes up the setlist dramatically each night. if he manages to do that as well as put on a spectacle it will be a show for the ages.

I think the first one, not sure. It was so so good :bomb:

after 2 days I must say this was the best show at lolla Chile (The National was also one of my personal favorites) there was so much energy and such a party vibe during the whole gig, I'm not a biiig fan of Kanye, I just like his lastest album but this made me appreciate his music a lot more. It's so much fun live!

i saw some great quality youtube footage and it looked like a lot of fun.

 

i really wish he was touring a bit more for this album. what is he trying to achieve by hardly doing any shows.

well the album has been out for 6 months now and i can pretty name every single show he has done in that time. he performed half a show at P4K's Offline Festival, SxSW, Lolla Chile and now next week will be at Coachella.

and he's playing at Flow festival in finland (?)

the rumours of him headlining splendour in the grass (australia's biggest winter music festival) are growing by the minute. i think i might just have to empty the bank account and make the trip up north to see him.

i would travel up to auckland to see him

well it seems like i was quite wrong about Mr West not really touring for this album. he has a lot more shows lined up than i thought. here is what i've found so far

 

March 20 - SXSW in Texas - done

April 2 - Lollapalooza in Chile - done

April 17 - Coachella in CA - confirmed

May 20 - Mawazine in Morocco - confirmed by the festival's facebook page

June 30 - Summerfest in WI, USA - lineup to be announced in the coming days

July 1 - Essence in New Orleans - confirmed

July 29 - Splendour in the Grass in Woodford, Aus - announcement expected tomorrow

August 9 - Øyafestivalen in Oslo - confirmed

August 11 - Way Out West in Sweden - confirmed

August 12 - Flow in Helsinki - confirmed

it's just festivals though :\

arcade fire are basically doing nothing but festivals through the northern summer. doing a "festival" tour is quite the thing at the moment.

i guess the difference with coldplay is that they're hitting the festival circuit to promote their forthcoming album. both arcade fire and kanye have had albums out for a while.
