Yes - that's what I mean. I thought R. Kelly was pretty good when he started out, but he then sold out big time and got so commercialised and started doing duets with Celine Dion and stuff.

How could you take him seriously after that?

Nowadays he just seems to make insipid, pointless, passionless ballads, often for movie soundtracks!! :)

I figured a hate-song I got at the moment...besides the crazy frog and Schnappi and pretty much all German Hip Hop: "Lonely" by Akon...or whatever this guy is called. The song itself wouldn't be bad if it didn't have that dwarf on Helium in the background singin "looonely...I'm so looonely..." throughout the song. Cool songs are ruined that way. That Alicia Keys song with Usher...horrible. The song is nice but it has that annoying Helium voice (thats what I call it) in the background and it annoys the livin hell outta me. Do those people think it makes the song cool? because frankly...IT DOESN'T!

 

... but it's fun sucking the helium out of a balloon after a party, speaking in the "dwarf on helium" voice!

 

but yeah you're right, i actually thought that the song by akon was decent --> because he actually sings, not raps, but that "lonelyyyyy... im so lonelyyyy" bit ruined the entire song and made it sound like shit.

 

and usher ---> would do us a favour if he walked around in public with a paper bag over his head, and spare us the pain.
