yeah, it's better than living in a kaff, tousands and millions of km away from the next bigger city :bigcry: but hey, it pays having a boyfriend who lives in hamburg! :P ;D

and hamburg is a really nice city anyway, methinks... way prettier than hannover, for example.

yep, the countryside is quite nice in that area! It's all that industry which destroyed all it's charme... And by now the industry has become all useless and decaying

Actually, I'm also not too far from Xanten. That should give you a better idea.

It's a nice area.;)

but well, yeah, i agree... I think if Hannover would've had a harbour or something like that which would've made it more interesting in the past it would be a much nicer city by now... but I don't think that city's soo bad, I've seen worse citys - like Kiel for example ;) And Kiel has a harbour ^^

:sneaky: ich will mich endlich selbst davon überzeugen, hrhr...

so you're quite close to the rhine, aren't you? That's gotta be nice :)

I've only been in the area south of the Pott - which was pretty cool, actually :)

Where were you?

This is a good area for cycling. I've cycled along the Rhine a few times.

;)

In "Kronenburg" in the Eifel... but now that I think about it it's _very_ far south of it hehe...

but we got there by train from cologne and the countryside all the way down was just eye-candy ;)

Our flat landscapes here are boring compared to that - but at least we've got the sea ;)

And the Alster.;)

and the Reeperbahn

and the Reeperbahn

I didn't like that. I found it far too unpretty and "seedy".:(

i think the reeperbahn has lost its "charm" many years ago ;)

I don't like any red-light districts. I don't like what they represent.:dozey:

I don't like it too... I'm avoiding it as long as there's no concert going on there ;) Plus during the weekend there are many, MANY dorks on the streets.

Yes - because they're all looking for one thing.

i have to admit that the homeless there are quite friendly, though ^^ at least the older people... they always wish you a nice evening when you're passing by and won't give them any money - no matter how many times you're passing by lol

Sieh an sieh an...

Kennt ihr Ben Folds?

Wunderbar.

:nice:
