The Porcupine Tree - In Absentia

Anyone else heard of them?

Yes. They once supported Marillion, but I didn't see them.

THey'd fit really well with Marillion. Musically, they can get a bit heavier. I'm just head over heels in love with them atm. They're the perfect cure for all the NME-approved clones.

Nice!! The Porcupine Tree just played Toronto a few weeks ago, but not being online, I didn't hear about it until the day after the show.

That sucks!!:(

What type of music are they?

They're a little bit prog...with just a hint of pop. Very intelligent musically, but not pompous as some prog bands can be. They've actually been around in one form or another since the late 80s. i think you'd be impressed, Briggins. I'll upload some in multimedia in a while...they deserve their own thread.

Sweet!

You bought a CD by Sweet?? Wow! I didn't know you were into glam rock!!:stunned:

*sings in a whisper* It's...it's...a ball-room blitz!:laugh3:

And they sang about Blockbuster before it ever became a video rental shop!!:P
