But hey, at least it was with cds costing around £1.00 (varied between 50p and £2) and not with CDs costing £5+.

Used is the way to go.

 

Here though even used cds only save you about $5.

Are the Travis singles worth buying? (don't know if I have asked that) They have a bunch here and they're about $6 each.
