Talk or Square One?

Talk is my favorite song lately. I think it's got more of a "single" quality. Square One is a bit too much of an opener to me (with it starting the album, concerts, etc). I don't think it could really stand so much on it's own.

yes, true! but do you really imagine Talk being played on the radio?? no. plus it would create a heavy criticism because it sound similar to SOS and Clocks! :confused: in my opinion, White shadows (faster,70's), What if (vintage), The hardest part (fresh, different).... Low(just because it would have a killer video).....

talk i think. i heard it the other day on BBC 2 on the program 'Coast' sounded great

the old version of talk - such a better song, plus it would create a stir and generate even more interest.

Square One is my fave track on the album, Talk the 2nd best. So...

well, now that i think about it Square one is the next single(just a prediction). i mean they play it at every single show. its a great opening song and its extremely catchy. :D

i didn't like the studio version of square one, although it sounded mega live. personally, i agree w/ sienna, they should use white shadows becuase it sounds 70s esque even if it could have been penned by u2. or they should do a better take on one of their old b-sides (with chris not mumbling) and release it as a single to throw off acusations that all their music sounds the same

Square One. Hands down!!

Def Square One. Its the most outgoing and different sounding song on the new album. Its the most creative.

i think square1 is the best track on the album (after fix you) however, talk will be a better single. i think square 1 being a single would lose the impact it has on the album as a perfect opener. :cool:

Talk. I actually heard Talk played on an indie station a couple of times already.

I like Square One. It's great. One of my favourite songs in X&Y.

But I suppose Talk isn't half bad either.

It should easily be Square One; it's opened up all of their concerts in the past 5+ months.

I think talk is not a hit... just that...

but Square One... is an AWESOME Song... it makes me wanna jump!!! its full of energy
