Shiraz
No good albums this century? Try Parachutes and AROBTTH for starters. That's something we can all agree on. Now let's get deeper in. Hybrid Theory (Linkin Park), A Crow Left Of The Murder (Incubus), Break The Cycle (Staind), One Day Remains (Alter Bridge), and The Green Album (Weezer) are a few of my faves. As for this year, X&Y and Staind's new album, Chapter V, have been standouts. But Billy Talent's new album shouldn't disappoint either. A lot of people here are still living in the days of the Beatles. They're awesome musicians. But put in some stuff a little closer to this day and age too. You'd be surprised how much new talent there is out there.
X&Y????
Lets face it, Don`t Believe The Truth is the best album of the year, better than the Doves new album, 50x better than Kaiser Chiefs, 100x better than anything Radiohead have put out in 5 year, and certainly better than any Coldplay album, and yes, that includes Parachutes. Big Greek is certainly correct in saying it`s the best of this century. My top 5 :- Don`t Believe The Truth (Oasis) Young For Eternity (The Subways) Some Cities (The Doves) X & Y (Coldplay) You Could Have It So Much Better (Franz Ferdinand) and just because I like it, as a bonus sixth album Chaos And Creation In The Backyard (Paul Mccartney)

Radiohead has always schooled Oasis in every capacity with every album. Kid A and Amnesiac and Hail To The Thief all blow away DBTT.

Whatever pal, Kid A and everything since have been utter tripe, nothing compared to early Radiohead music, when they used to actually make music. Now they bring out an awesome album, get the recognition they deserve for the album in the press and with the fans, and people launch into them once again, they can`t win whatever style of music they put out with some people. If you don`t think so fine, but everyone is entitled to thier opinion, have a little bit more respect for that eh? Funny how as soon as someone mentiones they think that Oasis have a record out that has been the best in 5 years, yes, we are only 5 years in to this century, that some people have to attack them? why is that?
