Egghead
ahahaha you people are all nuts (yes thats my opinion) X and Y: nay. Bloc Party? C'mon, it gets boring after 2 listens. Sigur Rós' Takk hasn't even been released yet (yeah I know about the bootleg, but nobody ever said the songs were final) Get Behind Me Satan isn't as good as their other stuff, but I haven't given it enough listens yet. Some Cities wasn't as good as Doves' earlier material New Foo Fighters is meh. Oasis' new stuff isn't THAT great. Not bad, but not great. Not a fan of Kanye. Haven't listened and don't plan to. Gosh golly gee its fun being a critic :smartass2: I feel like Bright Eyes, The Mars Volta, Beck, Xiu Xiu, M83, Architecture in Helsinki, Iron and Wine's EP, Mogwai's release (if it counts), Stephen Malkmus, Decemberists, etc.. all deserve some credit, but I doubt they'll get on anyone's lists. silverion
2005 Is a crap year for music guys. Just wait until early 2006 and the return of a band that many see as insane genious. They release an album in Feb. Only bands wot cought my attention this year Kaiser Chiefs Athlete Arcade Fire Interpol And that is all Also next year. Look for a flower in Americas limited cap of music. She might return with a third album....she just might As is the sad day when nothing of any worth comes onto the music scene whench we have to look for tomorrow

Marie
Coldplay- X&Y Gorillaz- Demon Days Bloc Party- Silent Alarm The Futureheads- The Futureheads The last two albums were released last year but to be honest I haven't bought many albums that have been released this year. Most of the new bands are ripping off the 80's too much. I'm getting bored of this 80's Part 2. :snore: Oasis? They are a rubbish band. :P I really need to listen to Supergrass', Franz Ferdinand's, Athlete's etc...new album's.

Professor Peedston
Right now I'm going with: Sufjan Stevens - Illinois Autechre - Untilted Architecture in Helsinki - In Case We Die Greg Weeks - Blood is Trouble BUT I'm saving room for Sigur Ros, Super Furry Animals, and ESPECIALLY Boards of Canada, because those three have yet to disappoint.
