Talk !

Acording to SirenDisc, the single will be released on Jan 23 !

I can't say I'm happy with the choice, tho'. it's too U2-ish :(

there's enough time to change it with Square One ;)

I think Talk is probably the best choice for the next single. It's a bit of a wait though!

They could just close their eyes and pick any one... Almost all of them could be singles while none of them are exactly traditional single material. What a band, only they could pull off such a feat! :P

Yeah it is quite a long wait......atleast we have concerts to go to while we wait - aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! I'm soooo excited, i cant bare it!!! You'll have to excuse my 'aaaaah'ing becoz i get the feeling its going to keep breaking out in2 my posts! sorry! :lol:

Maybe they don't want to be in the Xmas madness. Or maybe they want to take a rest :) If they release it on Jan 23, they have to tape TOTP and so on on January, not December :)

Talk is a great chocie for a single, it's one of my favourite tracks off the album.

Talk was always going to be a single. It's cracking live too.

Actually, they should release a brand new non-album track next and release it just before Christmas.

You know what this means, right? If they release Talk as a single on the 23rd of January, it squashes any possibility of there being a new album by the next leg of their tour. And will people just give it a rest about Square One? If it ever was a single, it would have been the first! Besides, it's not really radio-friendly anyway. People would think it's too repetitive, and that would definitely help them in this time of backlash, wouldn't it?

wasnt it obvious it was gonna be a single- when someone asked them summat about playing it live and they decided to change the version of the song. i know they could've changed it so they could play it at concerts but definitely becasue they considered it to be single material

I wish that the 3rd single was X&Y or what if... or square one... but I don't know.. I don't like "talk " too much

Yay! I've actually already heard Talk on the radio, so I figured it'd be the next single... but it's still cool anyway :)

For some reason I think that Talk could bring in some new fans... since it's more guitar oriented and not so.. piano. I dunno if that makes sense, haha, but I do know that there are more Coldplay fans at my school now that this 3rd album has come out. Pretty cool... :)

no i don't think its the best choice but it is a good song anyways!

yeah i was just thinking that..how about for the b-sides, the 2 other talk versions, including the one that was never heard! or the one that was never heard and another new one! after a single like fix you, talk is a great choice, i was sure they would release it
