January 16, 201214 yr I'm excited, too! I hope they'll come to Luxembourg, cause I really want to see them live !
January 30, 201214 yr If you're on Twitter, follow Tom Smith http://twitter.com/THMSSMTH, he posts cool pictures from studio sessions :)
January 31, 201214 yr Great they're working on a new album! I absolutely loved the previous work, especially An End Has A Start. A simply brilliant record. Also saw them live twice, which was awesome too :D
January 31, 201214 yr Best songs are Bullets Camera Fall Racing Rats Bricks and Mortar and You Don't Know Love imo
January 31, 201214 yr Totally agree, I also love An End Has A Start, it's brilliant :) Escape the Nest, The Weight of The World = amazing songs. I've never seen them live, I would love to
January 31, 201214 yr Bones is another stellar song off that record. as for the recording sessions. looks like The Sting and Two Hearted Spider are being recorded or already have. Hopefully a summer release?
January 31, 201214 yr Yeah Bones is great, too. Yes that's likely, I really hope for a summer release, but I'm not sure :)
February 1, 201214 yr I also love No Sound But The Wind. The video they shot on Rock Werchter 2010 is amazing. I was there too and it was a magical atmosphere. [ame= ] [/ame]
February 1, 201214 yr Yes, it is so emotional, wow you were very lucky then !!! I really love their cover of Lullaby, too.
February 3, 201214 yr Lullaby is a FANTASTIC cover, great homage to the Cure, yet had their own feel to it! Tom tweeted Two Hearted Spider lyrics, so that's exciting!
February 3, 201214 yr ^ agreed. very good album, I found both of their voices contrasted enough that the product was great
February 3, 201214 yr I just started listening to the Editors a few weeks ago. Managed to get my hands on their second and third album and though I enjoyed their second album a lot, I couldn't quite get into the third one. :\ Is this the new direction they are heading into? I hope not. I prefer their musical style of the second album. :P
February 4, 201214 yr ^ agreed. very good album, I found both of their voices contrasted enough that the product was great Yes, me too. And S&B are likely going to work together again, that's going to be great. I just started listening to the Editors a few weeks ago. Managed to get my hands on their second and third album and though I enjoyed their second album a lot, I couldn't quite get into the third one. :\ Is this the new direction they are heading into? I hope not. I prefer their musical style of the second album. :P I don't know. I also prefer the second album :) But I suppose they're going to reinvent themselves and evolve
February 4, 201214 yr the second and first albums sound very similar. guitars are fantastic, however - it did also take me a while to get into ITLAOTE but I love it as an entire album now. it flows well, the sounds are so different and I just like it a lot. If they added Cuttings II to the whole album to have 14 songs I am sure it would have had a different feel. BUT I feel THS and The Sting have more guitars in them, so the meshing of both sounds are happening and I feel this will be a fantastic album, hopefully longer as well
February 5, 201214 yr the second and first albums sound very similar. guitars are fantastic, however - it did also take me a while to get into ITLAOTE but I love it as an entire album now. it flows well, the sounds are so different and I just like it a lot. To me, I found the songs in ITLAOTE sound too much alike. I liked In This Light And On This Evening (the song) a lot and I thought it would be a good album but the songs after that didn't grab me as In This Light And On This Evening did. Plus, I find that Tom Smith's voice doesn't really suit the style of music in ITLAOTE. He sounded great in the first song but I found the rest of the album quite jarring.
February 5, 201214 yr I still love it, but hey, that's all our individual tastes :) in general, on another note - Editors have some great b-sides, just sayin' and Tom tweeted yesterday that session 1 of RECORDING is done, and the second is to take place later this year.... later as in when? I don't want to wait until early 2013 for their album! grrr.
February 5, 201214 yr Yes, that's what I thought, too. Later this year???!!! When in the summer? Or even later? I don't want to wait that long :(
February 5, 201214 yr I'm curious on how the new album will sound. As said, the first two were quite similar, the third was a complete (and in my opinion brilliant) new direction for them. Will they continue with the LP3 sound or go back to their roots?
February 6, 201214 yr I still love it, but hey, that's all our individual tastes :) in general, on another note - Editors have some great b-sides, just sayin' I haven't heard any of their b-sides yet. Any recommendations?
February 6, 201214 yr These Streets Are Still Home To Me, Open Up, Dust In The Sunlight, Come Share The View, You Are Fading, are all spectacular tracks in my opinion. I feel that for this 4LP, Editors will have synths, as seen in Tom's tweets. Thus, I'd say there will also be a guitar component to the record because the two songs we have heard so far did have lots of guitar elements. It will overlap, I say
February 6, 201214 yr I'm very excited to hear that new LP, but I hope they'll do their second session soon... For everyone who is interested Smith and Burrows performed in a French music show "Taratata". It' going to be broadcast on the 17th February. If you don't have French TV you can still watch it later on the internet site ;)
February 14, 201214 yr Has anyone else noticed that if you click on merch on their website and then clothing you get the Kaiser chiefs store?
