it feels that it's taken forever. 4 years is long, especially when the first 3 albums were dropped in 2 year gaps...

 

When the majority of a band's income comes from touring, they will tour, tour and tour some more before getting around to recording a new album.

 

I wouldn't be suprised if more artists do a "prince" and either give away free copies of their new album in a newspaper or at shows.

in regards to the last few comments, I think this will be their best too, but a departure in what the 'Editors' sound is. I think I may have tossed around the sound of REM because of Toms massive influence from Murmur, along with how the songs they've played already sound (Ton of Love) so who knows!
