Sorry Kekita for taking so long to reply. I've been busy with work. I scanned the place on Fri morn to see if I could see anything (Chris to be exact) and saw round the back of the arena semi-trailers inside a gated off area and assumed that was all their gear for the concert. So after Sat night concert I took a guess that was where they were coming out to leave and the person I was with asked a security guard and he was really nice and told us where to stand and informed us when he was about to leave. We only had to wait maybe 45 mins, but I was prepared to wait for hours. It was so surreal to watch him come up in his car and actually stop and get out. He was sooo nice and polite. Said he was feeling sick cause he hadn't slept for 5 days. He got photos with anyone who wanted to and signed autographs. He is so much better looking in real life than the photos show. He's actually quite pretty, in a manly way and his voice is absolutely gorgeous. Some one asked when they'd tour Aus again and said maybe 2008.

The balloons ended up on stage both nights I went. The first night chris threw his guitar at a balloon and then belly flopped on one but it didnt pop hahaha so he tried again and it popped. Last night he threw his guitar at the balloon and missed completely and then he kept making jokes about how that was the worst guitar throw in the history of rock and roll lol.

 

I'm trying at the moment to get to Adelaide for Wednesday's show. A friend said he would pay for tix if I paid for accomodation and flights so I'm hoping my card doesnt decline. I'm dying to get there cause I cried when it finished last night, all that waiting and it was over. So even though I'm in debt already im willing to spend $400 to see them again, I hope this time I can meet the others after the show!!

how much did those girls in front of us suck, bon? and that chick with the pig tails - ARGH. and those guys shouting out crap behind us, they were annoying lol, and the chicks with them too. infact i think it would have been better if everyone but us were gone. we'd get a much better view then

haha, yeah i saw you guys! i recognised bonnie from fotos id seen before, and i assumed you were the blonde chick next to her! i saw you standing up before youth group while everyone else was sitting down. i was just behind you to the left on the floor, with an amazing view. you guys were so close! and close to johnnys camera! i was hoping one of you caught it

 

youth group were absolutely awesome, their dedicating skeleton jar to lucas neill was so appropriate... 'i feel like hell' hehe.

 

by the way, we were so robbed in that game, and it makes me so cranky. but coldplay made me feel better

 

only bad part was when this dude next to me decided to smoke some pot during what if. that was a bit seedy, and it smelled bad

I have been depressed all night because the concert was finally here and gone and I just had a full on panic attack. I always knew I'd be depressed after the concert but that was really bad. Thing is, I'll probably end up flying to Adelaide to see them again and this will happen again, plus I have an extreme full on phobia of flying which will just amplify it by a billion. The things I do for Coldplay, I swore I would never fly again without medication to calm me down but if I'm paying for my own airfare I cant afford meds lol. They better be there after the show after all that or I'm going to be pissed!! Haha.

omg i went to the 28/6/06 concert in sydney!!! yeaha people we broke the entertainment centres record for highest attendance.. apparently 12 500 ppl were there nicce work ... it was best night ever.. i recommend any one who can go, GO to their concert. u will not regret it one bit and u will just love them even more!!!

Thanks, I am now officially off to Adelaide yeehaa!! We got floor tix for $318 on Ebay. The concert in Adelaide starts at 7pm so for all those people who were on the floor at other concerts what time should I get there??? I wanna be front row after travelling all the way to Adelaide haha.

 

The concerts end around 10:30/11 and Will came out just before 12. So unless you're willing to miss out on trains you shouldnt stay after the concert. I caught the nightrider home at 12:44 and by the end of it I was so sick I almost threw up!!

Melbourne Parking?

 

Hi guys,

I'm a newbie here and I've got a question about the Melbourne concert for all those Melb people who regularly go to concerts at Rod Laver Arena.

WHERE DO YOU PARK?

 

I'm going to the Monday night concert and we're trying to figure out reliable parking so we don't have to worry about public transport that late at night.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

 

Glad everyone has been loving the concerts so far - Melbourne starts tonight so I'm looking forward to reading the feedback. Can't wait until Monday. :D

You can park at the venue or the carpark next to it if youre early enough, or across the road at olympic park where most people do. Between the two it covers most people. Not sure how much it costs.

 

Plenty of free parking in alexandra avenue across the river should be no problem on a monday night.
