Yeah, my Mum tried to teach me too - but I personally think life is too short to spend it knitting.

 

Those knitting pics made me think of your cross-stich postcard - were those flowers more of your own handywork?

 

noooo the flowers aren't my knitting, I just googled for some. my knitting skills are reasonably basic. Am currently knitting squares for a blanket because that's quite easy. I can knit scarves, baby bonnets & bootees if I need to but haven't attempted anything larger!!

easy because they're small scale, and because I pick the easy patterns (they're not super fancy ones :lol:)

and the bottom picture is crochet. which I struggle with, alot. apparently its difficult to learn one once you've learnt the other. although my Mum can do both.

It's because they didn't have the internet when they were growing up. They had time to learn all that stuff like knitting... we're all too busy hanging around here :smug:
