Dave is actually playing a show that same night as the Rolling Stones show in Toronto and it sold out...apparently.. isnt that crazy? psychedelic_clocks, you going to that one?

nooo i not going but i heard about it. I was thinking about getting tickets because maybe a lot of people weren't going to be there because of the rolling stones concert. but meeh, im going to a concert the day before it. so yeah.

dont know why they are unpopular recently. but of course people are claiming that the new oasis single is straight from god. anyhow, i would have to pick a remix by portishead, forgot the title though. the album ultra seems like one beatiful skillfully crafted song

yeah I like them. I can't really pick a favorite song.

I think peoples opinions of bands go in cycles. It was only a few years ago that it was very uncool to like U2 and now look at them.

they're older now... their sound evloves as they do. Take Interpol for example.. their sound on their earlier stuff.. as great as it is.. was far less evolved 'musically' than those on Antics... Same goes for Coldplay.. I predice this album is going to be Coldplay like we have NEVER heard them before. Different times in your life provide for a different outlook on the way you write, whether it be music, poetry, etc.. eveing painting!

 

My point.. their sound just matured.. but they still rock. I remember when I was younger.. all I would listen to is R&B, rap, and some pop. I still listen to the R&B and some hiphop... but my cd collection at the moment consists mostly of rock, indie rock.. etc.

 

I guess I grew up.. in my own right.. :cool:

I love DEPECHE MODE ... they are my all-time-favourites... the best band ever... Really can't explain it... Great Songs, Great Music, Great Atmosphere... I mean if you like good music you just can't resist them...

... just to mention a few ones.

 

My tip is the "Violator" album from 1990 ... it's just a masterpiece :)
