August 3, 200421 yr The Beta Band Break Up According to a statement on the Scottish space-pop band's official website, the group has decided to call it quits at the end of 2004. http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/news/04-08/03.shtml
August 3, 200421 yr "The apple has over ripened and become riddled with maggots, it must fall from the tree and let its seeds return to ground." :stunned:
August 3, 200421 yr Pitchfork missed this bewildering statement on the Beta Band's website: "Steve Mason; 'The minority is always right. I left the room with silent dignity but caught my foot on the mat, and a thousand, thousand slimy things lived on, and so did I. This is adding insult to injuries. By the way, who’s your fat friend?'" Anyway, I'm none too happy about this. I only saw them live twice. And that's not nearly enough for a band like that, considering that only one of those shows was a headlining show. :P
June 26, 200718 yr I do. Why do the good bands spilt up leaving all the crappy middle-of-the-road bands? Everybody should buy their greatest hits album.

May 8, 201016 yr The new Steve Mason solo-album has some strange packaging, the back of the jewel case is white, the middle part is clean and the front part is black, the only thing which tells you it's the right album is a small "steve mason" and "Boys Outside" on the back cover pointing up. The CD itself has no marking on other than a catalogue number in the centre, and the booklet is just real close up pictures of people falling. It's deffo different
