Just got back from seeing the very excellent Coldplay @ Earls Court and just wondered if anybody else from the forum was there and what their thoughts on the show were????

 

I thought they could have played a little longer, however the version of Talk stole the show in my opinion!

I just got back too and it was BLINDING!!

 

What a fucking great night out. Steph and I had a ball. I'll be uploading pix soon...

Just got back, I'm afraid I have to say very average, it may be just Earls Court but the night just did not hit the spot for me.

 

The lights were great, the sound was good (esp for Earls Court) but there was just something missing. I know they have been on tour for a long time now, maybe to long.

 

I think it's the 10th time I've seen them and it was the weakest show I've seen.

 

Don't get me wrong here they were still good, but just not what I was hoping for.

I had a blinding time. I thought it was a top notch show. Chris gave it his all [and then some] and Jonny was hawt on guitar - white hawt.

 

The sound was big - it filled the whole place.

 

Where were you standing/sitting???

It was my first coldplay gig ever and it was BLOODY brilliant!

 

 

I had two friends with me and we were completely blown away...We now want to go back and see them on the 17th! The entire thing was so well put together and the band were absolutely amazing, especially Chris happily ad-libbing lyrics in some songs and forgetting them in others. :D

 

 

I also saw the "Primo Classo de Basso" banner - rockin' idea guys.

I was there :D

 

Was a great night, not the best gig from them I have seen, but a very strong performance none the less.

 

I think it was as much a sign of the length of time they have been touring the setlist as much the fact that Earls Court is not the best of venues.

 

8/10 from me tho ;)

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was there.....it was one of the best nights of my life....they were amazing!!!! I couldnt believe how close I got to the front either...I arrived about half 5...was about 7 people from the front! They were so amazing....I nearly died when they came on...was like omg!!!!!! theyre actually in front of me!! Chris is so charismatic, I love him!!!!! Guy and Jonny were on top form, as was Will in 'How you see the world', his drumming was outta control!!!

 

Clocks, Talk, In my place were my faves...I just couldnt believe how close I got.

 

When Chris threw his camera....I SO VERY NEARLY CAUGHT IT!!!! Me and my brother were realy annoyed cos we were so close to catching it...the guy in front of me got it. (I gave him my email tho, and he said he'd send me some of the photo's....I hope he does...hopefully )

 

I loved it when Chris started dragging Jonny around by his back jean pocket....I saw Jonny/Chris love right in front of me!!!!!!! woweee!!!

 

Btw I was wearing a santa hat with flashing red stars if anyone was near to me!

ok can't talk for long but it was my phone chris took in talk!!!!!! my sister was next to me and she got photos and a video so i'll post them up soon. he called my last dialled number - one of my best friends! best moment of my life!!!

the gig was absolutely incredible aand i'm still on the biggest high. Arrived at 9am to get on the barrier and i was dead centre.

I just spotted a bit about Chris singing descant in 'Don't Panic', ‘All I ever wanted, all I ever needed was here in my arms/Words are very unnecessary, they can only do harm’ Actually the lyrics are from a song by Depeche Mode - 'Enjoy The Silence'. :) I was looking at the lyrics and they seemed familiar, then I started singing it and realised it was the song!

Sounds like you all had an amazing time. i hope, one day soon, I can get to a concert at Earl's Court. Sounds like pretty much the best place to see Coldplay :lol: glad you had a great time, everybody!! Nettie, those pictures are amazing.

My first coldplay gig too. We were standing about 3metres from the front. Me and my mate were tall so we had perfect view of the stage. Absolutely amazing! Best gig I've ever been too. And richard ashcroft was fucking amazing!!!! :D
