For me Swallowed in the Sea is greatest

it catches many peoples hearts esp. in concerts...

 

I think the change in tempo after the bridge and the powerful drum segway redeem it for me.

 

Not my fav track, if pressed I'd say X & Y

oh wow took the words out of my mouth. fix you is a good song. i like the opening lyrics and the sound to it. but its kind of repetative. yeah, i used to be obsessive over it, but now im just not into it as much.

My favorite songs on X&Y are 'Till Kingdom Come and Swallowed in the Sea.

White shadows especially the chorus, and square one is awesome, but fix you is good, just the video sucked beyond belief!

i dont hate 'fix you' but i really think coldplay could hav done it better. Nonetheless it catches many peoples hearts esp. in concerts... so i guess its more of those who can relate to the song or sumtin. :D its not that bad but not very good either...

yeah i totally agree! WOW, almost exactly! i love fix you, but not nearly as much as some of the other songs on X&Y, and your top three are my favs off the album too, but maybe with a couple more songs chucked in ;)

personally i liked fix you. its not my favorite but live- its AMAZING...even if you dont like it. my favorites are talk, white shadows, and swallowed in the sea (which is also incredible live)

I actually think SOS is the best song. I know it's been overplayed by radio, but I preferred it at first listen to "Fix You" (2nd best).

Has anyone noticed that there's songs on X&Y that are MUCH BETTER live? Like, if I ever want to listen to What If, Fix You, or Low, I always listen to live versions instead of the studio recordings. Kind of like Daylight on A Rush of Blood.

No, Fix You is not my favourite but it is my second. My first is what no one else seems to like, and that is What If? But then, I love Coldplay best when they are at their most melancholy, and as I have said in previous posts of mine, the words and melody of this gorgeous track suit my mood ATM because my husband is cheating on me. :cry: What better words can there be for a betrayed wife than,

They just help me so much, particularly when I see my husband squirm with guilt when he sees the effect they have on me!! :angry:

Fix You was my favorite song on this incredible album but I listened to it too often when the album first came out (my fault.. stupid stupid stupid!), but it's still very high up there. Current fav is The Hardest Part.

I think " Fix you" it's ok if we hear it the first time.But when we listen to it times and times, easily we find it dull.

I like Fix you but it's certainly not my favourite.. I like Speed of sound and What if and Swallowed in a sea and Til kingdom come more than Fix you.. :)

My favorite song is Swallowed in the sea ... by far ! But I have to say that Fix you is my 2nd favorite song :D

I see many fans have somewhat rejected SOS--it's almost never listed in favorites lists--solely because of it's massive overexposure.

 

I've become tired of Fix You thanks to the love and overexposure the FANS give it.
