Aaah, I see now. First I thought you were asking how we met them or something. In that case my review would've been veeery short

and.. are you so fanatic???

I first got into them when i bought AROBTTH in 2002, and then i bought Parachutes, and the rest is history. :)

mhh ... i heard of Clocks, The Scientist and In My Place and i liked their music.

but i bought A Rush Of Blood To The Head veeeeeryyyyyyyyy laaaaate!

i bought in december 2004 and i fell in love with it at once. then a month later i bought Parachutes and X & Y the first day they released it

i just saw their videos (especially the three i named) and that's why i came up with listening to them

well...im new new fan

i heard clocks, yellow and that tipical songs and i thought they were cool i dont give them importance

some friends of my class went to san sebastian concert in spain this last november....showed me some songs...then videos and pics and i was like :o they are really great!

i dont listen to them because the videos and the pics!....i mean they are hot but is not because of that.

then i read some thing about them and i think they are too bright specially chris martin.i like the way he thinks

and i love all the songs!what more can i say?

thats my story :D not very interesting :P

i was on holiday and was amazingly depressed and i was watching the telly when the scientist came on, i started crying my eyes out cause the song just moved me so much. then when i got home i went out and bought parachutes and arobtth.. and that's it :D

Well, I remember that after watching Trouble the next day I saw Yellow too. And I was calling my friend and I was like an idiot, because I was sooo excited. I told her: "Wow, there's this Coldplay I was talking about, y'know, switch on your telly, it's on VH1 now, hey, c'mon, it's amazing!" And things like that...

She liked Trouble and I thought she'd like Yellow too. But she was like "Uhum, ok... whatever"

She's not a fan at all, she just likes some songs and that's all. And I was so excited though

i was completely bummed out one day...it was that point of my life in which i ws pretty down...i specifically remember that i had algebra II homework, and i didnt understand it(i was stupid back then)so, to calm myself down...i always put music. somehow, in my place came on, and it turned my mood around(weird, bacause i always thought the song was extremely sentimental). i became amazed by this feeling...i found a website in which you could listen to parachutes, and i did inmediately. as soon as dont panic was over i went like this :stunned: :stunned: :stunned: and i couldnt stop listening to this album(it was nothing like i've ever experinced before)

i loved the album so much that i probaly heard it 1000000X1000 times just that night!!!....it was magical...specially Trouble! :D

after that, coldplay became my life! that feeling that they gave me the very first time...is still there, just like the first day!! i love coldplay!!!!

i heard yellow in like sophomore year of high school when it was becoming popular.. my friend told me the song was about me .. coz im asian.. and im yellow.. i WISH the song was about me. :P

I heard Yellow, like it but didnt obsess over it...in 2002 fell in love with AROBTTH (at my work experience graphic design company) then in love with parachutes lol....bit backwards there! Loved them ever since the really. :)

Like me! Backwards is good :D :smug:

My brother and sister got into Coldplay in 2001/02 then it came down to me, and my sister introduced me to Coldplay, so I've been listening to them since 2003 or late 2002. I have yet to determine the exact time.

I've seen The Scientist, and that's the start of it. I wasn't too keen on Coldplay during its Parachutes days (a shame, really).

i thought this theard exist already ;)

so me

i first listening in the radio but I never know that the songs were from Coldplay

and then I met missberryman and she was a great fan... :D

she gave me the cds and then I know *bling* that was Coldplay

I love it

she make me to a Fan :P

when I was... 9 years old.... I heard my dad play Yellow in the car a lot, heh. I kinda liked the song, and that was my first Coldplay moment, lol.

then my sis showed me "Clocks" and the rest of AROBTTH when it came out in 2002 or whatever when I was 11 or 12, and I've been a massive fan since. :)

In my case, I am a very new fan. My daughter, who knows how much I love Travis, told me that I would also like Coldplay. She played AROBTTH to me, and although I didn't like all the tracks (still don't) Clocks and In My Place made a big impression on me. I sent for Parachutes and X and Y from Amazon, and several of the songs seemed as though they were written just for me - mainly Shiver and What If? I have mentioned before in previous messages that my husband is cheating on me, and what words could be better for a betrayed wife than, 'What if you should decide that you don't want me there by your side, that you don't want me there in your life?' I fell madly in love with Coldplay (and particularly with Chris!) and their music has got me through many a terrible time.

^your story is interesting, needs fixing. Coldplay's songs are very universal which everybody can relate with.

I haven't heard anything about Coldplay, since I saw "The Scientist" on MTV. I thought it was quite good, but I haven't bought their AROBTTH record. Later I heard "Clocks" but I didn't like it (why the hell?! :D).

The song, which is the reason why I became such a huge Coldplay fan was "Speed Of Sound". It is so incredible! When I heard it I bought their new X&Y record next day and I still love it. Two weeks later I ordered "Parachutes" and "AROBTTH" at Amazon and began to love most of their songs (also Clocks ^^). And when I came back from the Oberhausen concert, my love to Coldplay became much stronger. :P

I was feeling very down last year and by a lucky chance, I had a opportunity to listen to AROBTTH. I had obviously heard some of the songs before but never really thought that much about the band who played them. But I guess I was in a right state of mind when I put on that AROBTTH cd. I was like *omg, this is incredible* and when Clocks started playing, I was already convinced that this is simply the best music I'd ever heard. Like some of you said, it seemed like so many of the songs were made just for me :D And then my brother got me Parachutes and X&Y and now I can't wait to get all the singles I can possibly find.

And eventhough the guys are extremely good-looking (understatement, I know  ), for me it's still the music that's the main thing.

After in my place was released..........it was almost old and I heard it on the radio for the 1000th time.........and then I thought hey cool song let's buy the album! :D

Best thought I ever had maybe! :P

I think it's really awesome how lots of people have said how when they first heard Coldplay's songs it seemed like a lot of them were 'written for them'.

Thats one of the best things about Coldplay for me. I think its bloody amazing how even when there are 20,000+ people in the room with you listening to their music, it still manages to feel so personal, like they are singing the songs just for you.

Well, thats how i felt anyway. :)

Fuck i love those boys!
