why do people keep on saying that there will be an album in the next year? no-one has from the band has ever even hinted at something like that. true they do say that they've got enough songs FOR a new album, but never whe they would start recording, let alone a release....and dont worry about Coldplay splitting up, dont you remember Chris claiming that arobtth was going to be their last album? there will probably be a similar gap between x&y and the new reord, so maybe early to mid 08 they will be back in the limelight

Okay, I've calmed down since I first read all this news last night. ;) I'd glad they are doing this for themselves. They deserve a rest....a HUGE rest.

It was me who made the comment on the coldplay forum about the album next year. I thought the mods response to my post was a bit rude due to being quickly dismissive, so I’ll post about it here and not there.

 

I assure you, what I heard was not rubbish. could Chris have meant it as a joke? I don’t know. but I doubt it as he didn’t laugh after it and neither did the other guy. And it was not a concrete “yeah the album’s definitely out next year”. He said it could be or might be. I’ll ask my girlfriend and my friend who were with me last night for what he exactly said. (Bear in mind I had had a few drinks. In fact, so had everyone, esp. Chris ;) so yeah I’ll post back when I’ve asked them.

I’m guessing they’re just worn out at the moment with such a busy schedule and so much media attention and such little time to their families. But I’m sure after some time off they’ll be desperate to get back to recording.

 

Anyway, hope everyone’s going to watch the show this evening. I didn’t have that good a view for Coldplay’s performance so I’ll def. be watching tonight to make sure I can fully appreciate it. Take care, Ash.

yea that makes sence.....i bet once they have some time of they wil wan to get inot recording....u know it is thier passion just as the moment they are a little burned out after spending so muc time in the limelight

maybe the next album so far isn't what they wanted or it's not happening like Chris wanted it. Maybe it got rough for them. :cry: but I really hope they don't leave their fans like that. :embarrased: but maybe in the end it will turn out for the better. However it seems a better way to resolve their problems would be to do some really desperate things. I don't want to say what my ideas are.. Maybe Chris, during all this time, will come up with ideas for what he wants and a way to present it to them somehow. Then mayyyybe he'll get something closer to what he wants.
