after touring AROBTTH they took a break and made X&Y. they've toured X&Y so now they're taking another break, making a new album

Coldplay flew to Germany yesterday morning to start promoting their forthcoming single Hardest Part — out in April.

hope they'll come with VERY VERY good album, but it probably will be great :D at least cause I'm coldplay fan :D yeah, we must wait... and was that break between AROBTTH and X&Y very long? :) ok greetings

if they have wrote most of the album already according to him then well that sounds promising as for what will come int he next album....i am sorely looking forward to the day...whenever that may be,1 year,2years,3,years etc.......they will release their next album....

I reakon that they will do two albums before they tour again - if one is already written (as Chris said), then they will work on recording that one, release it and get on with the next. It kind of makes sense to have two albums before another massive tour.

U kno whats funnier?? My local news Channel 6 talked about how they are NOT breaking up...like the guy from their record label came on and said it...my ma told me this..I wasnt up at the time!! :D

it's a personal decision i suppose, a decision able to be made by the wealthy

 

but one must think about how those in other professions cannot do this, and it seems somewhat strange, nonsensical really that at the height of their popularity, U2 comparisons, one of the world's biggest tours etc. they say people are sick of them (multiplatinum album X&Y) and are going into seclusion.

 

as a performer you hope to provide people will as much quality music as you can. sheltering yourself isn't the kind of step they should be taking, there's been nothing to break them up. nobody said they were bigger than jesus, chris martin never passed out during a concert, guy never destroyed will's drums, just seems like they've tired of what they're doing.

 

dissapointing really, 3 albums in 6 years and they're ready to wait for a long itme.

 

we'll see, but i suppose a lot of bands have taken breaks and reformed themselves, u2 did it to great avail, radiohead have done it with yet to be seen results.

 

by the way - the christ martin being given too much public attention over the three is a good point to me. theres not a picture where he doesnt take all of the attention, itd be nice to see a little more even distribution of their publicity.

Well, in the last few days I often read about Coldplay touring in Japan. Is it already confirmed?

 

And what about touring in East Europe? In an interview for X&Y Will and Chris talked about touring in Finland, Estonia, Latvia and Russia, but I've never found some tour dates of it.

yeah..that's really dumb one, and it proves how much the company rules them, cus will said he WOULD LIKE to go to russia and all the new countries, but obviously these days it's more important to do 1001 show in usa. :/

Central and Eastern Europe need them so badly. They should realise this...

Their tour managers need to know - they arrange with the promoters where the band go...

the saddest thing is that 200000 dates in the USA are usual for most of the big bands...the American market is probably the most important, and if you count how many states make up the USA then you can see they're not probably too many gigs...this is not implying the can't play shows in Central and Eastern Europe, I think these countries have proved their love for Coldplay...but as usual money rule everything :angry:
