You should check out Babyshambles new EP that was linked a page back or so, it's different from their other stuff (yet, obviously, still has thier sound). I think this could bring a lot of new fans to them. It's a very sober record, I feel... ;)

But yeah, you really should check it out (the EP) cause.. I shouldn't be allowed to say anything cause I basically think everything by Shambles are amazing but that EP is very newfan/radiofriendly compared to DIA.

Oy, and I was on the DPT forum and people were talking about yanno, the sounds of talking, who says what, what the say, etc etc. Then someone said that they stole that idea of shambolicness from Babyshambles.

 

Don't these people know anything about the Libertines? They did that... duh. As do nearly every other "unclean" band out there (AKA: bands not overproduced like Coldplay... :uhoh: oops I"m gonna get killed for that one lmfao but it's true).

I do agree about the overproducing. I love Coldplay but they sometimes always work to hard on it. It's music, it's supposed to be enjoyed and not overworked.

Hmm i might check out the Babyshambles EP... I remember seeing Pete Doherty on Jonathon Ross not so long ago and he performed Beg, Steal or Borrow, pretty neat song :)

Though I've got to agree with you, Tea, I do like the acoustic better. THe version on the EP is really beautiful too, though. We're lucky we have great quality versions of BOTH and can always pick and choose. :nice: That's what I appreciate about the Shambles.
