The conversation (revelation) of last night was really intense and I liked it 'cos it was one of those we don't usually have. Anyway, it helped me to realise that the period of my life that I was obsessed with Coldplay wasn't a good one at all... I felt so depressive, (unrequited love + failing subjects at my uni + feel bad with myself, so on), just like most of Coldplay songs. And that's the current feeling I have when I listen to them (although I haven't listened to them for months and I'm posting in a forum that is about Coldplay basically! *weird* :uhoh:) they don't cheer me up any more, there's a kind of sadness in all of their songs. :sick: The opposite happens when I listen to Babyshambles or Dirty Pretty Things, sometimes I can't stop laughing, DPT's lyrics are so cheeky :heart: even though I won't deny I feel a kind of odd feeling - melancholy for the good old days, when they existed - when I listen to The Libs.

Same. I guess..... listening to DPT and Shambles and the Libs... they really SHOULDN'T make us happy, should they? lmfao! Like... allusions to all these dirty and kind of disturbing things, and friendship lost and gained.... it's all kind of depressing... and I always figured DPT was actually the TRUE emo band! NME's got it all backwards! ;) But... they do make me happy! It's just, haha excuse the pun, but LIBERating to listen to them! hahaha ;) hope that made sense?
