Gwyneth Paltrow Sticks Up For Lohan

 

Lindsay Lohan has a new supporter: actress Gwyneth Paltrow.

 

“My prediction is that Lindsay Lohan, she’ll figure it out,” the Academy Award winning actress told Entertainment Tonight. “It’s really, really hard to be so young and so in the public eye and I think it’s very confusing.”

 

Lohan checked herself into the exclusive Wonderland Center in West Hollywood for addiction treatment last week. Cameras have followed her on outings from the center, including one to visit her doctor, and another time to make a stop at her apartment building.

 

Paltrow, 34, has had to deal with her share of paparazzi over the years, having had high-profile romances with several celebrities, including Brad Pitt.

 

“It’s hard to be that out there and, you know, when everybody’s analyzing everything you do, and she’s … very young,” she said.

 

Paltrow said she felt that Lohan is very talented and will have a good career.

 

Lohan is expected to be back on the set of the thriller “I Know Who Shot Me” on Friday, but will return to Wonderland in the evenings.

 

The daughter of film and television director Bruce Paltrow and actress Blythe Danner, Paltrow said her parents would never have allowed her to go through her rebellious years in public.

 

“My parents would have killed me if I didn’t do it behind closed doors,” she said.

 

Paltrow is at the Sundance Film Festival this week to promote her film “The Good Knights” which co-stars Penelope Cruz. Her brother, Jake Paltrow directed the film.

 

She’s been married to musican Chris Martin, 29, since Dec. 2003. The couple have a two-year-old daughter, Apple, and an infant son Moses, born April 8, 2006.

PALTROW WANTS ADVICE FROM WINSLET AND BLANCHETT

 

 

GWYNETH PALTROW is struggling to find a balance between family and work and wants advice from other actresses in the same situation. The SHAKESPEARE IN LOVE star is married to COLDPLAY singer CHRIS MARTIN and the couple have two children, APPLE, two, and MOSES, 10 months. The 34-year-old is slowly getting back to work and wants to call her colleagues in the industry to find out the how they handled the transition. She explains, "I'm not going to work like I did before I had kids. I want to call KATE WINSLET and say, 'Can you tell me how to do this?' "Or call CATE BLANCHETT and ask her to describe (her day) from 7 am on, and tell me what to do, because I don't know how to do this!"

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Pre And Post 'Iron Man'

 

Gwyneth Paltrow hasn't been in a movie lead since she shot Proof three years ago. Paltrow says she's going back to work - and thinks it will make her a better mom, reports Jeannette Walls of The Scoop.

 

The "Shakespeare in Love" actress is Married to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin and she's been busy caring for their kids, two-year-old Apple and 10-month-old Moses.

 

However, she has now decided that spending more time in front of the camera will make her a better mom.

 

Jeannette has more: '"I hadn't worked in a long time. I was really committed to being home. Then I finally agreed to do this movie 'Iron Man' [a comic-book adaptation with Robert Downey Jr.]. I reached a place where I thought, 'It's okay that I have a passion for something besides my family,'" Paltrow tells Entertainment Weekly. "I love making films. If I do one thing that makes me fulfilled, then I'm a more interesting woman for my children."

 

But she says, she's not interesting to tabloids. "You want to be an actor. You don't want to be in whatever tabloid. To me, those worlds seem mutually exclusive," she told the mag. "And I fully understand that for whatever reason I'm one of those people where there's an interest, if you will, in my personal life. But I do think people are kind of bored. I've got a couple kids, a husband, I've just been at home."'

 

As far as what she'll do post Iron Man, Gwyneth tells Entertainment Weekly that she'll definitely take the rest of the summer off to be with her family. And then She would like to do something really character-driven.

 

Paltrow mentions a Marlene Dietrich story in development at DreamWorks, and would "really love to do that."
