I'm not one who has said I dislike her now but my opinion of her has fallen. With Celebrity comes responsibility and she knows better.

I recall a Vogue photoshoot a couple years back (or was it Vanity Fair) where in one of the pics she was wearing a fur draped across her shoulders. Later she apologized for it, saying she thought it was faux.

I certainly understand if someone is really against the fur issue, personally, I don't have any real fur, and would most likely never buy anything like that because I have no use for it. If someone else decides to wear it, well it doesn't bother me. Being a celebrity, if Gwyneth is very against the fur issue and has protested against it in article or interview, and the boots she displays are real fur, then she made a mistake:\ But I don't think any less of her!!!!

I don't understand why fashion labels keep using fur, as there is fake fur available that shows no difference from real fur, except in the fact that animals didn't have to suffer for it. And I am sure one of the reasons why fur keeps existing, is that celebrities promote it.

I respect your views on fur, I was just wanting to know if Gwyneth ever said in a statement if she was an activist for animal rights and that wearing fur is against her beliefs.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- Gwyneth Paltrow is coming back for more “Glee.”

 

The Oscar winner will reprise her role as McKinley High’s favorite substitute teacher, Holly Holiday, for a second episode, Gwyneth revealed to Access Hollywood on Sunday during the press junket for her new film, “Country Strong.”

 

No word on when her second episode will be taped or air.

 

While Gwyneth was ecstatic to rejoin the cast, calling her “Glee” gig “the best job ever,” at least one of her co-stars is sure to be equally thrilled to have her back.

 

“Gwyneth Paltrow is a genius,” Matthew Morrison told Access in November after the actress’ first episode aired. “Who knew that she was such a triple threat? Great dancer, great singer, obviously a great actress — I just had the best time.”

 

In her first “Glee” go-around, Gwyneth performed a rousing version of Cee Lo Green’s hit, “Forget You,” then joined Matthew for a splashy mash-up of Rihanna’s “Umbrella,” and the timeless “Singin’ in the Rain.”

 

“Our set is kind of like a playground — especially [for] the ‘Singin’ in the Rain’ number,” Matthew said, of filming the aquatic-themed track with Gwyneth on a water-filled stage. “We were just having so much fun like, splashing each other, getting each other wet. It was fun!”

 

“Glee” will return with all new episodes following the Super Bowl, when Katie Couric will join the cast for a cameo.

When you think of a hardcore rap fan Gwyneth Paltrow wouldn’t typically come to mind. The Oscar winner may not wear her musical tastes on her sleeve but she’s a serious hip hop lover. Paltrow was recently out promoting her latest film Country Strong, which centers on a country superstar dealing with addiction, a failing marriage, and an up and comer trying to steal her shine. While talking about her preparation for the role she revealed how Beyonce was a huge inspiration for her and how some of her favorite albums right now include the latest from Nicki Minaj and Kanye West.

 

When it comes to music on her iPod Paltrow has a little bit of everything.

 

“I listen to everything. I probably have the most schizophranic iPod. My biggest obsession right now is the Nicki Minaj album. She’s a genius. I’m also obsessed with Kanye’s album. I really like Dierks Bentley. He has a bluegrass record that I really love.”

 

When it came to pulling off her best music diva impression Paltrow channeled her inner Sasha Fierce.

 

“I watched Beyonce a ton because I think she’s the best live performer happening right now. She has this amazing confidence and I thought to myself if I could just get a tiny bit of that self confidence then maybe I can pull off this scene at the end. You wouldn’t necessarily think that Beyonce would be the inspiration for a country star [laughs].”

Gwyneth Paltrow Talks Steven Soderberg’s Contagion

While doing promotion for her upcoming feature Country Strong, Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about her part in the upcoming Steven Soderbergh film Contagion. A lot of big names are attached to the project which centers on the deadly outbreak of a virus. The actress talked about the preparation that went into her role and what type of character she plays.

 

Even though the premise of Contagion deals with a virus, and the majority of the characters are doctors and scientists, Paltrow says that she didn’t do any CDC (Centers for Disease Control) research.

 

“No, I didn’t. My character in that is totally unaware. I get the virus very early on. Kate Winslet plays the CDC doctor. I’m not playing like someone from the Czech Republic who does backhand springs or anything like that. It’s pretty straight forward. “

 

She also revealed that her part isn’t that big. She’s just one piece of a huge movie machine.

 

“The movie is a really exciting movie. We all kind of have these little parts in it. We’re all important parts in the whole overall thing. It’s exciting for me because I got to work with Steven Soderberg.”

 

With such a lightweight role, Paltrow was able to fit Contagion into her busy schedule. According to her, she shot one day in Hong Kong, four days in Chicago, and that was it!

 

Contagion is scheduled to hit theaters on October 21, 2011.
