Walk in the Park...:D Good one!!!

When Brad Paisly was asking her from up on stage if she could get him 2 Coldplay tickets, I really thought the lady sitting next to her was their Nanny, which would mean he was there or maybe at a hotel and the Nanny went with her, but then on twitter someone wrote she said He was in England with the kids, anyway she was awesome.

I thought it was pretty common knowledge that Chris wrote at least that song, if not others for the film, so I think she's just being...cute by acting like that's just a rumor, but correct me if I'm wrong.

Chris didn't write Country strong, he wrote the duet she's singing with Tim McGraw called 'me and Tenessee' ;)

I know she was nervous, but I thought she blinked her eyes WAY too much. It looked like she was having a myoclonic seizure.

and before you get your knickers in a bunch, no I'm not making fun of people with it, since I have that type of epilepsy

LOL that was not the nanny - that was her childhood best friend Julia (Cuddihy) Van Nice.

thank-you. she had dark hair and kinda looked like her:D

i actually liked her performance!

She's beautiful and not bad at all when it comes to singing

It was a nice change from Lady Gaga. I am so sick of that overexposed b*tch.

Gwyneth has a nice voice. Her music is real, unlike that soulless electronic crap Gaga plays.

Wow! I was pretty impressed with her singing. Not bad at all! :nice:

Was curious to hear Chris's country songwriting talent.. But in the end it's still country, and I can't appreciate it much. She doesn't sound bad though.

I saw on a website where they were mentioning what songs might be up for an academy award and they mentioned Me and Tennessee, but it said it was written by A.Martin..

If they are hiding the fact that he wrote it,then it is ridiculous already.I cant help but get really annoyed.I know I sound crazy, but cant help it

They are not hiding who wrote @Me and Tennessee it's on the album track listing and on loads of country music sites!!

Just found this:

She duets with Tim McGraw (who also has a role in the film) on the breakup-themed rock ballad ‘Me And Tennessee’, written by Paltrow’s real-life rock star husband Chris Martin, who also plays acoustic guitar on the track.

I did notice her once straining her neck as if she was looking at backstage for someone, then smiled....

Really???? What part of the video does this happen at?? I didnt notice that when I was watching it. I wanna see!!! :)

Ugh- Id have to re-watch. But now , knowing Chris was NOT there- I can see where she was just looking over her shoulder at some of the band.

Pffft, she should call it "Tennessee and I".

I saw her singing on tv today, all I have to say is ":|".

Gwyneth Paltrow Wins Over The Critics At CMA Awards | MTV

Gwyneth Paltrow may already have an Oscar under her belt, but it seems like she's aiming for a Grammy too.

The actress made her singing debut on Wednesday, when she performed "Country Strong" at the 2010 Country Music Association Awards alongside Vince Gill. The song, which is the title track from her forthcoming movie about Nashville's biggest industry, received a standing ovation from the audience, but they weren't the only ones applauding.

Entertainment Weekly critic Ken Tucker said that while Paltrow appeared to be nervous at first, she delivered vocally.

"Strumming an acoustic guitar, looking a little nervous but singing the movie's title song in an expressive, surging tone, she didn't really need the assistance of the wonderful Vince Gill, there to give a polite country-industry imprimatur to Paltrow's efforts," said Tucker.

"Vince Gill backed Gwyneth on the chorus, but she held her own," declared Willa Paskin of New York. New York Times music reviewer Jon Caramanica said, "The surprise was that she didn't need [Gill]'s steadying hand nearly as much as some of the night's other performers."

Meanwhile, New York Post writer Jarett Wieselman said even though he was bracing for a "car crash," he changed his mind after seeing her sing. "Gwyneth delivered a very solid — if not sensational — performance," he said.

Critics weren't the only ones praising the actress. Singer Miranda Lambert told USA Today that she thought Gwyneth did a great job.

"She sounded really country, I think. She seems very genuine," Lambert said.
