Gwyneth Gushes Over Chris Martin's Grammy Night

While Gwyneth Paltrow thought walking the red carpet with her Coldplay frontman husband Chris Martin was "cheesy," she's fine with gushing over his big Grammy night to reporters.

 

"I was screaming backstage," she told E! News at Saks Fifth Avenue's Unforgettable Evening Tuesday. "I was over the moon because those guys work so hard. They're so, so dedicated, and they bleed, sweat and cry to get it all perfect."

 

Gwyneth, along with Courteney Cox, was being honored for her contribution to EIF's Women's Cancer Research Fund at the Beverly Wilshire hotel.

 

And just in case you're not a subscriber to GOOP (Gwyn's newsletter that gives her tips for good living), here's how this Coldplay fan claims to stay healthy...

 

"I don't eat anything that's junk food," she said of her regime. "I try to eat as organically as possible and do a detox twice a year...and exercise."

 

If all that doesn't sound fun to you, at least her last tip is easy: "Being around people you love is good for your health," she added.

 

Now that one we can get behind.

Gwyneth Paltrow has likened herself to an English housewife.

 

But the 36-year-old actress must think that all English housewives lead very glamorous lives.

 

Appearing at a star-studded cancer benefit party at the Beverly Wiltshire Hotel in LA, she said: "I'm like a housewife in England. I'm married to a singer. And now I'm here."

 

Gwyn, who is married to Coldplay's Chris Martin and lives in London during school term-time, was speaking at Saks Fifth Avenue's 14th annual Unforgettable Evening which raises money the Women's Cancer Research Fund.

 

It was held in honour of Courteney Cox and Gwyneth to thank them for their fundraising efforts, and included Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, Beyonce and Jay-Z on the guest list.

 

"My husband's in Japan," Gwyn said. "But I've got Jay-Z, so that's even better."

 

Tom Hanks was the master of ceremonies as he and wife Rita Wilson, along with Spielberg and wife Kate Capshaw, serve as honorary chairs of the charity, which funds innovative cancer research.

 

Wearing a sparkly gold mini-dress and backed by an eight-piece, all-girl band, Beyonce opened with Etta James' At Last and boogied alongside two dancers during Crazy In Love and Single Ladies.

During her set she described Gwyn as "one of my favourite people in the world".
