October 1, 200619 yr Oh, jealousy! :nice: I didn't know Camden before, but the girl who went with me to London said it's a great place so we took the tube to Camden. I also saw a shirt of my favourite football team there and the seller wanted to tell me that's an original one, but it wasn't. The shirt - or the team??:P
October 1, 200619 yr The shirt - or the team??:P The shirt! ;) By the way, Werder won 3:0 and climped from 9 to 2... Just watch The Strokes live from Hurricane Festival again... It was so funny when the frontman destroyed the mobile camera of MTV with his microphone... :D
October 1, 200619 yr The shirt! ;) By the way, Werder won 3:0 and climped from 9 to 2... What about Schalke?
October 1, 200619 yr Against who? They're playing against Bayer Leverkusen at 5pm. Hope Leverkusen will win... ;) What about Charlton? Why are they so weak this season?
October 1, 200619 yr They're playing against Bayer Leverkusen at 5pm. Hope Leverkusen will win... ;) What about Charlton? Why are they so weak this season? Explanation: Seven matches. One win (home to Bolton). Matches against Chelsea (away) and Man U (home): not expected to win, and didn't. Arsenal (home, yesterday) - not expected to win, playing one of best teams in country, but only lost to a wonder goal (potential goal of the season). That's four. Opening game of season away at West Ham (player sent off). That's five. Aston Villa away (bad performance, although Villa have started season in form). Portsmouth at home (Portsmouth have started extremely well). There have also been lots of injuries to key players. There's a long way to go.;)
October 1, 200619 yr Im back again, just had a nice english breakfast  Do you go watch your local team a lot Lars?
October 1, 200619 yr Oh, good explanation then Mark! But sometimes you can win against the big ones like Chelsea or ManU. ;) An English breakfast, Kara? Do you mean with sausages, bacons and eggs? :stunned: I try to go to the Weser stadium as much as I can, but it's very difficult. All games are always sold-out, but I have some good connections. That's why I got f. e. a ticket for Champions League last Wednesday. :) Tickets are very cheap... only 9 Euro (6 pound) and with these tickets you can use all trains and trams for free the whole day. The next game for me will be Werder Bremen - Bayern Munich in 3 weeks. This season we have a good chance to get the title again. In 2004 we won the double, it was just amazing! :nice: A few minutes before we became champion... You don't like football, don't you? ;)
October 1, 200619 yr I cooked myself bacon, scrambled egg and toast, no sausages unfortunately. Was yummy. :cheesy: Ah thats cool....football games always sell out dont they. I hate the fact that football players get paid so much when all they do is kick a ball around. Yeah, anyway. My mum and brother are really into football.....we visit Tottenham Hotspur at least once a season. :D I dont play football...well I played for a team when I was like 10. damn that was funny...me and my friend were so useless!!! :laugh4: Do you play for a team or anything?
October 1, 200619 yr Hehe, well I can't eat bacons and eggs in the morning! :P Your mom and your brother are supporters of Tottenham? :) I also like them, but I can't deal with these shit clubs like Chelsea who are only good, because this Russian millionaire put so much money in it. You're more into Basketball, right? Sometimes I'm watching games of the EWE Baskets Oldenburg. :) Do you have a favourite NBA team? I used to play in a football club for 10 years. I was right defender and in 2000 I played in the selection of Lower Saxony which is the Federal State I'm living in. :) But in 2004 I quit... it became too stressy and I had to write important exams at school. Then all games always started Sunday morning at 10am, so you couldn't go to parties the night before etc. These were the main reasons why I quit.
October 1, 200619 yr My whole family supports Tottenham, me included...but not as much as my mum/brother. Yeah Chelsea's situation is an annoying one...theyre only good because of Abramovich... Thats a shame about your football, you had to give it up. You have to do these things though sometimes....sports teams are really demanding sometimes. Yeah I love basketball...dont really watch much of it though!! Just like playing it. Thats what I was going to say to you... here at my uni we have a pretty basic tv....4 normal channels. and then we have 3 GERMAN channels!!!!!! LOL!!!!!!!! Its so strange.
October 1, 200619 yr Hehe, I also liked playing basketball at school. :) But other sports like handball were also nice. Oh really? Do you know the name of the channels? I'm surprised! I only can receive BBC World and Sky News. :( I would really like to watch BBC or ITV. When I was in London for my first time in 2004 whenever I watched TV there was always snooker. ;)
October 1, 200619 yr One channel is a gambling/casino channel, one is Eurosport (in German and English) which is great to have and the other must be a channel on cars!!!! Very strange. Snooker...how boring!!! There goes the rain agaaaaain. :(
October 1, 200619 yr Hm strange... I only know Eurosport. What are your favourite channels in UK? Steph is going to work for Channel 4, isn't she? Oh, I hate rain. Luckily it's still very nice and warm here. The best thing is that I neither have to go to work tomorrow nor on Tuesday. :nice: Are they any areas in London where it's better not to live there? I'm just looking for some areas of Berlin where I could imagine to live and there are a few areas which aren't very safe.
October 1, 200619 yr I dont watch much tv these days. Although I mostly like the comedy on bbc2....and Channel 4 makes really interesting programmes lately...also good music programmes. Im not really sure about where to live...obviously there are the more upmarket areas and rundown areas. but Im not really the person to ask, I'll probably get something wrong lol!
October 1, 200619 yr I dont watch much tv these days either. I only asked, because when I was in London I never saw any areas where buildings are coming down and where violence is playing a big role on the street. But normally every big city has a nice and and an ugly side. Maybe I have to ask Steph or Ophélie. You will meet Steph next Friday right? What about your best friend (the girl who went with you to Cornwall)? Did she also move from Brighton to High Wymcombe or London? Are you still intensely connected to her? It's always sad... Normally when people are going seperate ways the connection between both person will never be the same as before. You just don't have the time to meet each other. I've made similar experiences and it's annoying.
October 1, 200619 yr HEY OPHELIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Ok we HAVE to meet now you're in London! How are you?! Hows your new life in England going? Lars...Ive kept in touch with her a bit...luckily the internet is very important there. Shes stayed back in Brighton....but her and another friend might be visiting me soon! :D
October 1, 200619 yr Author YEAH WE HAVE TO, YOU'RE RIGHT :D !!! For the moment life in London is nice ! I really like it ! There's a big storm out there, so I can't go to the laundry  I don't have many things to do, I don't have a lot of classes, and I'm still waiting for my job schedule... But we really have to meet :nice:
October 1, 200619 yr Did you already meet Steph? Hope she's going well. But after reading the article about her secret gig trip, I'm sure she does! :D
October 1, 200619 yr Author No, not yet :( We were planning to meet next week, but she didn't answer my last message :( I have to go See you !
October 1, 200619 yr Helloooooooooooooooooooooo!!! :D How is everyone!?! I've missed this place so much! Ophelie!!! So sorry I didn't reply to your last message...life is so crazy right now. Im barely at my halls....out all night and sleeping all day....my routine is so messed up! But I start my proper lectures tomorrow so everything will be much more organised then - im sure i'll be able to meet up one day this week. :)
