  • I just wanted to say, after 5 years of being part of the Coldplay fandom, first on Coldplaying, now on Coldplaying, Twitter and other platforms, a wonderful thing happened today: Coldplay followed me

  • I ran away
    I ran away

On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

Have alots of fun Cha!

I'm goign to my first Coldplay concert as well in 10 days!

there's this boy in my year who looks a lot like guy.

however, i can't stand him. he's got a shit personality, is very arrogant and small-minded.

he fainted in spanish class today. that's at least what i heard when the ambulance drove off to the hospital... :stunned:

hope he's okay.

Hope you have an amazing time....It is one of the best experiences that you will ever have!!! Trust me....:D;)

Excuse me? Did you wake up on the wrong sideof the bed, because quite honestly I was just trying to be nice!!!!!

so everyone rides their bikes to uni here and I was on mine and then this guy and 2 girls rode by on their bikes singing the "oooooooooooohhooooooooohss" of Viva la Vida. It kinda made my day.Almost followed them and sang but they were going too fast.

i felt a strong urge to go out the day after the concert to buy a violet/purple sweater. :laugh3:

not a lot of men can pull off that colour, but chris certainly can! :D

it's funny how i told my friend on the way back to the car and she was like,"YEAH! i put it on top of my 'what-to-buy"-list already!"

and for some reason i love how coldplay uses the idea of "coming home" in their lyrics so often. chris would probably say they had nothing else to write about, so that's why they're repeating themselves so often. :laugh3: but i really, really love that. as well as their "sing to someone" reference.

Thank you :D! I'm sure I will!

completely and wholeheartedly agreed. i have this thing about the word "home;" it just makes me completely melt and go all wiggly and long to go home. i love how often coldplay uses that theme in their lyrics, because it really fits me. the line from "clocks" has always been my favorite, particularly.

i also am in an obsession for sigur ros's "heima" for the same excact reason.

^

that's pretty much why i want a studio version of "Solid Ground", which sort of deals with that "coming home" theme, too.

those lyrics touch my heart every single time i listen to it. :(

Oh, when I get back on solid ground

I'm gonna crawl my way to you.

Oh, I once was lost and now I'm found

I'm gonna do what I should do,

and when I get back on my feet again

I'm gonna run my way to you.

and "a spell a rebel yell" of course. i love that song.

One of the many reasons I like Coldplay is that their songs remind me of summer... I bought both X&Y and VLV right before summer, thus was listening to them on many occasions during summer, either home or driving along the coastline. And since summer is my favorite part of the year, it leaves some very good memories with the songs, which I remember and sort of relive again every time listening to Coldplay... :)

there's a girl in my american studies class that i don't know, but she has about 5 bangles on her right wrist that look EXACTLY like the colorful ones that chris has taken to wearing these days. i kind of really want to know where she got them, but she looks like the rich bitch type, so she'd probably think i was insane for asking in the first place, and they're probably designer and really expensive :dozey:

speaking of coldplay apparel. :laugh3:

there's this girl in my history class who had that beautiful summery scarf with lots of butterflies printed on it!

Actually, if they're the ones I'm thinking about, they actually sell them at the shows! They're made by people somewhere in Africa I think, and a good percentage (if not all) of the proceeds from them go to charity!

this girl doesn't look like the average coldplay fan, but maybe!

oooh, if they sell them at the shows, i might just have to get some! especially if they go to charity!

As I was trying on shoes yesterday for my sister's party, "VLV" came on. I took that as a sign that I had found the right pair.

:)

My friend knew it was Jonny's birthday today. :stunned: She is NOT a Coldplay fan, but she likes VLVODAAHF.

And yesterday they played VLV in my cafeteria. :D

I agree as well! i love their 'lost and found' concept as well.. it pops up everywhere.. swallowed in the sea.. lost.. ahah

My random moment is that.. this is kind of a music in general thing.. but mainly coldplay! i realised that i cannot do math hw properly unless im listening to music! & im pretty damn sure that coldplay is more effective then any artist/genre of music for me to listen to while doing my math hw ;)

the song speed of sound never gets old

I was driving home from work sooooo happy that I'm off on a (very rare) Friday and have 3 wonderful work-free days to look fwd to:D, and I had the urge to listen to live@Philly bootleg CD. I was reading in my english textbook today, and I saw the three words, reign, foreign and battle.
