On this day exactly 5 years ago, a young and innocent person who was just getting really into Coldplay wanted to sign up on a forum called Coldplaying. Faced with the question of what to pick as a use

  • Today exactly 5 years ago, I joined the Coldplaying community and I don't regret that that. To be honest, it's probably one of the best things that have happened in my life! I had never thought I woul

Then you must love the last few lines of "A Message".

"And I'm not gonna stand and wait

not gonna leave it til it's much too late.

On a platform I'm gonna stand and say that I'm nothing on my own

and I love you please come home".

I love that song so much! A definite favorite from X&Y and that last line just kills me..

completely and wholeheartedly agreed. i have this thing about the word "home;" it just makes me completely melt and go all wiggly and long to go home. i love how often coldplay uses that theme in their lyrics, because it really fits me. the line from "clocks" has always been my favorite, particularly.

i also am in an obsession for sigur ros's "heima" for the same excact reason.

basically, it's the thought of someone you really want to come back home, someone you miss. i love that about coldplay.

i'm currently writing a short story and it's sooo inspiring to listen to coldplay songs.

^Thats great, Coldplay moves you in so many ways!!!:heart::drummer::biker:

Our Social Studies teacher was showing the class photos that displayed nationalism, and what other photo does he show but Eugène Delacroix's 'Liberty Leading The People'!! It made my day. :)

I saw a toy in a shop window today - the label on the front said

When VLV came out I wore out that song to death..I listened to it 3927391318629+ times. :P And I thought 'Wow, I'm going to get sick of this song in a month...' but it's been 4 months almost and I'm still not sick of it. I don't know why, but it's just so beautiful and it reflects my life so much lately and it's such a motivator.....and drives me to do things. And I love that feeling.

It IS an amazing song!! GO COLDPLAY!!!!!!!

i wasn't a big fan of "lovers in japan" before the concert, but now i always connect that song with beautiful memories and it did grow on me! :flutterby:

Look what the Oracle is telling us today! I think it's so beautiful!!!

"I always sing the line 'Look at the stars, look how they shine for you' as reference to the fans being the stars that shine for the band. That's how it feels at their concerts for me."

^^AWWWWWWWWWW...that is absolutely adorable and very true! :nice: I'd love to think of myself as one of their stars.....:shy:

Yes it's so beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Oracle!!!!!

awwwwwww.

what a cute metaphor.

i'm in a "parachutes" mood lately.

coldplay were different back then, which does not mean that i dislike their "new" style.

i just love how new and a bit sadder they were when they were younger.

And on and on from the moment I wake to the moment I sleep...

goosebumps anyone?

i was just in the student union getting my mail, and the building was basically empty because it was friday. but all of a sudden, "lost!" comes on the college radio station and made me really happy. what was even better was that two girls were walking toward me down the hall, and one turned to the other and said "ohhhh, i LOVE this song!"

i love how coming across coldplay in unexpected places even makes crappy days better :nice:

i'm also tending to agree with grace a lot recently :D

i'm more in love with the idea of coming home back to the person and things you love, but that's one of the many reasons i love them too :nice:

and i'm writing a short story too. i've never actually written a short story before, per se, but coldplay songs usually inspire ideas in my mind. i haven't come across how this one is related to coldplay, but i figure it is somewhere :D

I hate those post-concert depressions. They're awful because they don't seem appropriate since you should be happy to have seen them. But they just happen. It's like those days when you feel sad and you don't really know why and you wanna cry but you can't.:embarassed:

Hope you feel better soon

I had Post Coldplay Show Depression too..... It hurt for a while, haha. But I'm looking forward to the November show!

I know, I feel bad because I shouldnt feel this way..

oh, I have nothing to look forward to..

I think VIVA LA VIDA is our unofficial song for my graduating class! First day of school, it was the first thing they played at the meet and greet event, and now they played it during the "flashback" slideshow during our "Senior Class Coming Out" (basically it's an assembly where the Seniors get to introduce themselves with a skit [that usually pokes fun at the lower classmen!]).

As soon as it started playing in the assembly, I stood up and yelled I FUCKING LOVE THIS SONG!!!! hahaha. Of course, no one heard me, because EVERYONE was cheering and singing/clapping to the song!

yeah you're right.. I guess i'll be alright soon.. thanks :nice:

but the first days of quitting an addiction are always the hardest ones, right ?

*sigh*

I wish they'd come back to California. The closest they'll be is Arizona in November, and my mom won't let me go.
