There are a lot of threads in this vein, but basically I just want to ask a question.

 

I am 14 years old.

 

For those on here who know me, even those who have just read an occasional post of mine, would you say I am a immature?

 

It's very confusing, I am probably almost the youngest person on here, yet, I believe, that compared to some people, a lot older than me, I am more mature.

 

That may seem very "stuck-up", but I think it is true.

 

This is not saying everyone is immature, or aimed at any one person. (Although, I can think of one main one.)

 

It is just strange.

yeah just reading your posts i would have thought you were much older than 14 years old. so in my opinion i dont think you are immature

This thread sounds like it's pretty mature. You don't seem immature to me. :confused:

 

I have a habit of being mature with some people, but overly immature (well... childish is a better word IMO) when I'm with some other people.

 

It's deliberate that way. I'm mature but with some people I have a good laugh (playfully childish)

Just like Kelsen said, most people behave differently according to the persons involved.

 

And a behaviour in an online forum might be very different from the one out there. Sometimes people here behave the opposite way they do in real life. It's sort of a release, don't you think?

Yeah, some people on here are immature to the point where you cant imagine them actually saying these things or acting in real life, at that age, and assume they are mentally handicapped.

Meh kids today have no manners, doing shit because they think it'll make them cool.

But I guess that's just the way it is.

As for people on this board, well I reckon most of them are childish, some to the point where you would say that they are simply dumb.

mhh ... sometimes i feel like i'm much more mature than people who are older than me ... one of my teachers once told me that i'm more mature than a 50-year-old man .. (well that was a little offending though :D )

Well....Sam I know your posts....and I know you're 14....I think i can see sometimes that you are 14 and so even 4 years younger than me....but not in the case of being immature.....maybe just of experience...though I'm not that old...but i think if I compare your opinions to others in your age....you shouldn't care if you are immature.....:wink:...because it is not true...

I never would have guessed that you were 14 :stunned: 18 or 19 maybe.

 

But I've also learned not to trust percieved ages either. I've known people in their 30s who can act like the worst sorts of 16-year-old teenyboppers, and kids like you who could have said any age at all and I would believe it.

I think the term is too ambiguous... I mean, what would you describe as a mature/inmature attitude? All that I see here is normal people with different personalities wating to talk, have fun, etc...
