Are you interested in the World Cup?

Featured Replies

Are you? I mean, it's the biggest event when it comes to football (or soccer, however you call it), and some people are not really interested in local/international championships going on in their own country but feel attracted to this particular one because it means your team is the best in the world, but still I think not everone is a sportsperson nor wanna know about it, and they must be feeling left out with all the frenzy around. So....are you one of them??

I'm not a sports freak but I follow national tournaments aswell as international ones such as Libertadores Cup or Champions League, therefore is natural for me to be interested in the World Cup (specially after being eliminated first round in the last edition)

I like it,but not really interested in it that much...

World cup is about the only team-based sport I ever watch.

that's optimistic

I wish I had as much enthusiasm as the boyfriend does. Man!

Males can go on and on about goals, teams, team members, team member's injuries, and how many monies and babies each member has made in a year! But they can't remember if they had wiped their ass in the morning!...

I don't care much to watch it... When I do, I wait for Brazil to come on, because I have high hope they will take it home again. I suppose the last teams standing will be England, Poland, Brazil and Germany... and I hope it will be Brazil against Germany in the end...because they will both fight it hard and it will prolly just be a one-point ending.

That is just my opinion.

I dunno much about the game..sucks to watch, mostly..but I love to play it.

I like football (american football) better though. And would choose a pig skin game over soccer anyday, anyway.

Yup..

I dont play soccer myself, but I just enjoy watching it...

I'm not interested at the local tournaments.. They suck! But international soccer is really good.. I follow the Champions League, Eurocup and obviously the World Cup... (even if my country isnt playing on it..)

It's such a great event.. I've watched almost every match so far..

I just love it.. :P

It's just an unspoken phenomena how crowds and crowds of people get SO riled up for these few weeks/months of sporting events. And you know that latinos carry most of the rowdiness because

a) most are fanatics/partiotic of their own coutries

and

b) they love love LOVE soccer (my bad! futbol :p )

but it gets nuts :freak: the way people get during this world cup event!

Football is officially the only thing that unifies the whole world!!:)

Of course, I watch every macth

Next time when I will be able to watch WC I'll be 20  So I'm enjoying it as much as I can.

Go England and Sweden :nice:

i'm definitely intersted in the world cup...but the only problem is i cant watch it....i dont have the channel

WHere do you live? I thought everyone who had a television would be able to watch it...:\

I have cable so I can watch it, but here you have to get the special sports channels. Fact is, in North America (outside of Mexico anyway) Soccer really isn't much of a big deal. Most people here just don't care.

I was telling my cousin about it yesterday, and I mentioned something about how the crowds sing. He thought I had lost my mind- he just couldn't understand it. Ha! :laugh3:

Oh yeah...maybe in America. I was thinking more of Europe, where Im sure most non-cable channels show at least a portion of the matches.

Yeah, even in '94 when it was in America, I heard most Americans didnt even know! Mightn't be true though..:uhoh2:

It was in America? :shocked2:

Guess that proves your point...

ok i live in turkey but they only show it in one channel that i dont even have....but i have sattellite.....but i still cant find a channel to watch it!!!
