first of all... logistics that worked on presenting during the game made a mistake and put on the screem info how shimunic got 2 yellow cards at once, which was false, cus Poll showed one and only one, at the end of the game he got the other one, red, and left the game, so i don't really like all this qustioning his spotsmanship and all without enough info.;)

 

as for cro's guarding viduka, you were no better in it, it's was blatant on both side an i see it as a huge mistake Poll made for both sides.

 

and at the end.. Congrats Aussies, you deserved it and you should all be proud.:)

daj, i read in the newspaper today that the english referee who did the croatia-aussie game has been sent home by fifa, and is doing no more world cup refereeing this tournament because he didn't send off simunic as he got 3 yellow cards. fifa said that :confused: and that he missed 2 penalties that australia should have got, therefore he got sent home. fifa said it was unbelievable he didn't realise he gave simunic 3 yellow's, and the referee himself watched the game on dvd afterwards and realised he had made so many mistakes... :confused: do you know anything about this? i'm so confused. did he get 3 yellow's or not?

yeah. it seems that he gave him the second yellow card in 90th minute of the game and wrote it down under wrong player in the card, some australian that had the same number as simunic. simunich didn't see it and poll didn't notice he stayed on the field (and i still don't get how no one of 30 somenthing ppl down close to the field hadn't notice this). i was thinking on the wrong part, part where he got his first yellow card and logistics wrote on screen it's a red card. but still i don't get it.

as for his mistakes..there were 2 clear penals for Aussies, and one of them was realised (your first goal) but on the other hand your second goal was a clear offside. so...

it is true though that, if croatia passed through round, there would be a replay of the game... :dozey:
